Raiders are up and coming, might be able to hang with Kansas City and Pittsburgh next year. The Broncos have no QB

A problem they can fix in the offseason. It's obviously not the world's easiest fix, but I think they'll take care of it.

    Don't care.

Yes, it is boring. No sizzle to this game at all. No one gives a fuck about Matt Ryan, everyone assumes Pats will win, no one likes or cares about them, everyone already assumes BB is the best coach ever, Julio Jones is a cool dude but no one cares.

That's the problem with this game, and this season of the NFL in general...no one really cares that much.
Yet you're here posting on the internet about it lmao

I mean, it doesn't have the same sizzle as Pats/Packers would have (just based on franchise history alone), but it'll still be an entertaining game. Atlanta is just such an irrelevant sports town, that's why people are saying it's boring or won't be good.

Most interesting for me personally was Steelers v Falcons, but nothing really got me going in general. I hate the Packers, Patriots are cool but they do nothing for me, Steelers are most fun to watch in the AFC save for Raiders with Carr, and Steelers v Falcons just felt like something different. I know the Steelers are in the Super Bowl a lot n shit, not as much as the Pats but yeah, but it just felt...different. Pats v Falcons though just seems like it will be a "close" game that never feels like the Pats will actually lose. They'll constantly be up by 7-10 points, and shut down a flurry by the Falcons at the end to win the Super Bowl aaaaaaand no one cares.

Sorry no one gives a shit about your team, brah.

Watching the Super Bowl has been deemed a stupid "unofficial holiday", people all get together with their families and watch it. They watch it because they're "supposed to" and it's an excuse to hang out with family or large groups of friends. It's not like the Pats v Seahawks Super Bowl which felt like a clash of two titans.

This feels like Andre the Giant v Rick Rude. Rick Rude was really talented, but no one gave a fuck about Rick Rude compared to Hulk Hogan or The Undertaker.

I have no clue what Rick Rude is but if he was as talented as the Falcons, that should be interesting enough to watch go up against the greatest dynasty in NFL history.

He was an absurdly talented pro wrestler that never made it over that hump of full cultural relevance. Kinda like the Falcons.

100% this... regardless of how hard Falcons fans want to fight it.

The people saying they're tired of NE and nobody cares about Atlanta are 100% correct and that the only reason people will root for Atlanta is to root against NE. It's all true. It's just an uncompelling matchup, it is what it is. People will watch, but as Bo said that's only because it's what you do.

    You're welcome GEICO.

Put me in the very interesting camp.

Who else other than Atlanta can possibly hang with NE right now? Stupid to say they have no wow factor.

Two weeks to prepare? Hard not to like NE but wow, I can see it playing out either way.

It plays a lot into the interest leading up to it, which is why either Patriots or Steelers vs Packers would have been far more interesting. The Falcons have a great offense but nationally Matt Ryan isn't interesting at all, Julio Jones is great but not someone that is going to bring in casual viewers. Atlanta is a very weak sports market / fan base, football isn't part of your culture the same way it is in Green Bay, that's just fact (nothing personal).

Although I completely disagree with a lot of what Bo is saying he is right about it not being the same as Patriots vs Seahawks, they had a bunch of players on the "legion of boom" that people were a fan of. I can't name one player on Atlanta's defense yet.

Yeah I don't know how anyone thinks this game has flash.

A team that everyone is tired of seeing win, and another team no one has any interest in watching. Everyone already knows the Pats will win. Julio Jones is the most appealing aspect of this game.

I think this game goes one of two ways...shoot out and pats pull it out, or blow out and pats win. If I was a Falcons' fan, I'd be extremely concerned about the age of their defensive players (I think several are rookies) -- mix the inexperience with the spotlight and that can cause all sorts of problems. They've been playing well as of late though. I think the Pats offense can go tic for tac with the Falcons' offense, and its crazy to think that when they are missing Gronk.

While Julio is one of, if not the most lethal WR in the game, he can be taken out of the game, its already been done a few times this year. On top of that, I'll take the Pats coaching staff over the Falcons' coaching staff any day.

Also, I'm kind of on the other side as far as whether the game has "flash" or will be interesting. If my team isn't in it (its not, Giants), than I'd just want to watch the most competitive and entertaining game as possible, and I think this is it. Most people don't base whether or not they watch the Superbowl on the teams in the Superbowl. It's an event/occasion that people look forward to ever year for more than just the game. Do people really say, "oh, its Falcons and Pats, I'm not watching"? That seems crazy to me.

I had a friend try and down play the Patriots accolades today. I understand why people hates the Pats with spygate, deflategate, etc...but it's really hard to argue that the aforementioned are the reason why the Pats have been so successful.

Also, I do think there is a storyline here for entertainment, with Pats going to the superbowl after how poorly the NFL handled the deflategate thing...Goodell having to go watch the Pats play. The revenge factor. Maybe El Pres is just getting in my head too much.

Yes, it is boring. No sizzle to this game at all. No one gives a fuck about Matt Ryan, everyone assumes Pats will win, no one likes or cares about them, everyone already assumes BB is the best coach ever, Julio Jones is a cool dude but no one cares.

That's the problem with this game, and this season of the NFL in general...no one really cares that much.
this really sounds like you aren't a fan of the NFL.....

    3. Not sure how you can think this is an opportunity for Brady to cement himself as the GOAT and consider this a match up of Ryan vs. the GOAT at the same time
    1. wasn't saying its over, I'm saying its nearing that stage...
    2. so not sure how that takes away from the super bowl? they are a great team, I like watching great teams play in the greatest games.
    3. I personally think he is the GOAT, to me another ring would cement him as the GOAT....

I agree Packers/Pats would have been great, but people still haven't come up with a more intriguing matchup....

Arizona/Pittsburgh - great super bowl, this reminds me a lot of that matchup.

Alabama/Clemson Natl Title game - same deal, great game because it was 2 great teams.

I know the Steelers are in the Super Bowl a lot n shit, not as much as the Pats but yeah, but it just felt...different. Pats v Falcons though just seems like it will be a "close" game that never feels like the Pats will actually lose. They'll constantly be up by 7-10 points, and shut down a flurry by the Falcons at the end to win the Super Bowl aaaaaaand no one cares.
yeah their last 2 games were amazing to watch that offense, 6 FG in KC and damn impressive showing vs the Patriots. Do you watch these games???

A team that everyone is tired of seeing win, and another team no one has any interest in watching. Everyone already knows the Pats will win. Julio Jones is the most appealing aspect of this game.
I too hate watching dynasties that could go down as the greatest in NFL history and the greatest players at their respective positions playing for the super bowl, what a crap shoot.

Also anyone who thinks Falcons have no chance to win hasn't watched them play all year. They can score on anyone and that Defense has some playmakers on it.
