i know your not working yet, but you may be able to help me better understand something (if you dont mind)

i have grounds tickets. do i have access to the grandstands, if there are any, around the greens, or is that a different ticket type? just a little confused is all.

Ground should get you anywhere (on the course) that you want to go. Need some higher levels of tickets for Clubhouse access, VIP tents, etc. Grandstands fill up pretty early if I remember correctly. I'm going Saturday and Sunday. Can't wait! I just hope for an exciting finish, unlike last year. Although Micheel's shot into 18 on Sunday was unreal.

EDIT: unlike last time the Championship was at Oak Hill, not last year.

Awesome. Thanks for the info. I'll be there early Wednesday and Saturday as I'm going alone, so hopefully I can get a seat one of the days.

Wednesday I plan to venture around the course, see if I can get an auto or two, as that's the only day I'm going where that kind of activity is allowable by the rules.

My girlfriend lives a mile and half down east ave from one of the oak hill side street entrances, so it's perfect for me. She's gonna come with me on Sunday for the final. Wednesday you may even be able to bring a camera in since it's a practice round. I would check the website or call them for what's allowed. You should be able to get up close and get some good shots of the big names. The Mercedes SUVs are typically used to shuttle players from the course to the clubhouse in the event of thunder and lightning - you will see them parked all over the course during the tournament.

As for cameras, I think they are allowed during practice rounds. They're also not making people turn in cell phones as in the past.

1 month and 3 days since the Darien show. No other shows in the last 10 nights. Tape still isn't out. Sigh. May have better luck trying a B&P with band management.

I went to today's practice round. The only cell phone restriction was mandatory vibrate mode. I saw tons of people with cameras.

Exactly...maybe I'll begin learning how to become a taper, Darien alone would be greatly appreciated!

from where i was seated/standing i seen 3 mic stands in the 200/300 sections as well as one rig up near pit.... if the pit is the same as years past he really takes his time, but does do good quality (real life trumps torrents)

but unfortunately the 3 rigs that i seen in 200/300 were knocked down or taken down early (particularly with the drunks bumping into them during the rainstorm mid set

Find someone to tape it next year or same shit will happen again. Guy gets off on being the only taper.......only time he converts is if Tom shadows him to prevent this...then it's overnight delivery like Toronto....

Atlanta too but we know the story as the taper had work after the opener according to taping god Tom G- and also New Orleans is not there due to taping restrictions
