Speaking from experience, this show is a great venue to see Dave. They come out smiling and never let up. 2010 and 2012 were a good time. Looking to make this year a good one too.

P.S. I've had VIP parking and general parking in my previous trips. While general seems to get out far quicker, I would reccomend just hanging out and having a good time regardless of where you park.

I got about 5 to 6 people back from Boyd and Dave in 2010 and I was only maybe 15 minutes prior to starting the show.

At this venue its mainly the center of the pit that gets full. The sides in front of boyd and stefan doesn't get to packed.

Ugh, this summer tour is sooo frustrating for me. Seems like every show is inconvenient for me between location and time.

Would love to buy some pit tix right now for Scranton but can't justify 1) Leaving from Pittsburgh 2) missing work 3) driving 5 hours both ways and 4) doing all of this before I'd be driving back to eastern PA again for the weekend.

And because I'll be in eastern PA that weekend, can't see shows in Blossom or Pittsburgh. GRRRRRRRRRR!

do you want to be on the rail or are you fine with being like 3-4 people back and/or off to the side?


last year, i got in line at 130 in the afternoon and barely got the rail all the way off to the side in front of the horns. you could have got into the venue at 6pm and got like 4 rows back on the sides or about 12 rows back in the middle.

what are the chances of a guest appearance? i've seen moe. a handful of times over the last 10 years or so, and al schnier rips. i'd love to see him on 41, crush, or rhyme & reason.

Not enough chatter going on about this show, started going here in 2009 and absolutely love it. Favorite venue to see them by far, will always catch them both nights in camden (closest/home venue) but the atmosphere and bands energy at Montage is unmatched at any other venue i've seen them. Wish i had the PTO and resources to make some trips to places like Bethel or SPAC though.

Anyone familiar with the new venue they added this year in Holmdel, New Jersey? It's about the same distance for me living outside of Reading PA to Hershey/Camden/Scranton and was thinking of adding another show or two this summer, if not there I might consider venturing down to Virginia to catch them.

I'd say a guest spot is highly likely. Scranton is a fun spot for the band and fans, and so I think they are a bit more open to guests here.

i may try to get on the rail for this show, considering this is probably my best opportunity to do so. i'll be riding solo, so i may just head over from ny in the morning and wait on w/e line there is. just curious, what time do you plan on getting to the venue?

I went in last year at about 545-600 and was like 2 people deep in front of stefan/horns. I believe i touched the rail at one point haha.. but yeah this show is the best opportunity to get railed and its always an awesome show to be up front for.

Good evening Scranton! I am considering flying out from MN for this show. Could anyone tell me how far the venue is from Wilkes-Barre airport and would last minute hotel reservations be a nightmare to get or is Scranton a big enough city to manage pretty easily.
