For last year's CapitalOne JamFest, the music started at 3pm and the headliner played from 8-10pm. This year's fest starts at 2pm - maybe they play from 7-9pm? Time will tell.

So since Atlanta is getting shafted on the summer tour, Anyone down to go see them at SPAC or Alpine??? My normal crew is all pretty busy this summer, but i'd still love to see them at a legit venue.

AHHHH!!! I would love to do the Gorge, but it would just be too expensive going solo. Hopefully 2014 will be my year for the gorge

I went to the gorge solo last year. It wasn't that expensive. The flight is by far the biggest expense and that doesn't change no matter how many people are going with you.

exactly! scour kayak.com and southwest for flights and take the redeye home to save money!! its well worth it!

I requested tickets to Alpine, but its looking like all the usual suspects who i would normally bring are busy with job, kids, life etc. So i may be on the lookout for a travel partner... Let me know if your plans fall through.

For those of you who are into this kind of thing...Boyd will be here March 19 for Faces in the Mirror at the Atlanta Film Festival...though he hasn't confirmed anything, I'm assuming he will do some sort of meet and greet/gathering like he's done in other places for the film.

A Tweety Bird has informed me that there is going to be a free concert at Centennial Park in Atlanta before the April 6th show in Alabama. I have to believe it would be on the 5th since it's a Friday. I also feel good about this rumor because he isn't coming to ATL this summer and the Alabama show is like an hour and a half away from ATL I think.

Regarding the Tweety Bird...I would LOVE to give more details on this bird however my GF would cut my balls off if she found out I even came to this website to begin with. Luckily she doesn't even know about this site. All I can say is if somebody told me that the source was who this source is I would have no doubt in my mind that its true. Sorry I can't disclose anything else!

This was the OP in a thread started today, he claims the free show is friday before Pelham not Sunday after Pelham. I for one hope it's Sunday.

I just find it hard to believe that they would play the first night. Dave Matthews Band is pretty much a 3rd night lock at festivals. So Im still thinking it will be Sunday.

well, that is alot of crap...but also lots of fun stuff

mine is just a 14 hour drive to pelham, then to atl, then back 14 hours after the atl show. this is why God gave man coffee

No epic tailgate - no coolers or anything either - will they have any kind of food or drink sales? Never been to an event like this, and I'm trying to plan my morning.

I would imagine they'll have vendors set up for this sort of thing. In fact i'd be shocked if the Sweetwater Beer Truck wasn't there. They never pass up a festival with that thing.

Also, right across the street is the CNN Center where there's a bunch of fast food options. Best part is, almost all of the FF places sell draft beer and you can get a 32oz for like $6 (that's more of a tidbit for those that might be going to the games... get your drink on at CNN before going into the GA dome.)

when they did the OAR concert for the Chick-Fil-A game there were food and drink vendors, and like the post above says, CNN center is across the street with plenty of options.
