I've gotten a bunch of bullshit from Michigan fans after yesterday. What they need to realize is that although they've had higher ranked recruiting classes than MSU 7 out of the past 8 years, they've lost those 7 out of 8 games. AND that Brady Hoke had a ranking around #6 for his first 3 classes.

I think that football recruiting between MSU and UM doesn't mean as much as say UM and OSU, or the SEC, only because MSU has been winning so much with so much less.

For sure. It's completely different. Michigan state rarely goes after five star recruits. Dantonio's built a system and knows how to maximize the players he gets in the local pipeline states even if they aren't the highest touted. Granted the last three years they've been a top 25 class and gotten better guys due to the successes they had with players like Le'Veon and Kirk Cousins, Langford. If anything I'd be more concerned as a Michigan fan as they start to recruit more talented guys.

Michigan's problem has never been recruiting; and while they have the best coach they could ever expect to have, beat a rival more than once in a blue moon, and I'll believe they are making progress.

    Speaking of Tom Herman...

Houston really owned NSD. From this to having Paul Wall welcome recruits, they did it in the most entertaining way possible.

Yes. AD has already said this is Charlie's last year. The only thing that might save him is a conference championship, at minimum.

Yes, Herman is the guy right now.

What MSU has done has been nothing short of miraculous considering the talent they bring in. They're not always that deep across the board but they do have some NFL talent tht comes through. Dantonio is the real deal.

They have the perfect coach and, not to dig at tOSU, but they'll start beating the Buckeyes soon enough to make that rivalry great again. I've said it a million times, Urban Meyer and the B1G needs a Jim Harbaugh.

"Johnny Clipboard", "Johnny Fifth Chance", "Johnny Unemployed" to "Johnny Agent-less". Just a few more incantations and my prediction of his final form, "Johnny Buick, Come To Me For All Your Buick Needs" will be complete.

his dad says he's "Johnny Suicidal". That's probably for the best.

what part? the conference championship? yeah... maybe. Texas could pull it off. they weren't as bad as their record shows last year. that's why it's a never say never situation.

but for all intents and purposes, charlie knows that this is his last season in Austin.

Definitely possible but beating Oklahoma, TCU, Baylor, and Ok State will not be easy.

what's funny about Texas is that if three kicks and an INT and a fumble or two don't happen, they're in the playoff and Charlie is off the ropes and being hailed a hero.

that didn't happen though. and everyone thinks Texas is a lol factory.

so, Charlie is fucked if he doesn't produce this year. but that doesn't mean Texas is in bad shape... as evident with RSD.

... yeah. That can't be a serious post. There would have had to be maybe 20 "if's" involved just to beat Notre Dame, and maybe 30 to have beat TCU.

Charlie is not on the ropes yet. If we go 5-7 again he will be gone. If we win 9 games, which I think we will, he is fine.

Perrin and Fenves are solidly in his corner. The boosters might not be, but last I saw Perrin had promised Strong at least two more years

He should have narrowed it down and just used one "if":
If UT hadn't lost so many games they'd have been in the playoffs.

It's starting to look more and more like OM is trying their best to bury this NCAA story. A journalist in Mississippi has filed a lawsuit against the school because he requested some of the documents from the NCAA under the Freedom of Information Act and the school has yet to provide those to him. If the allegations are really as bland as they're making them out to be, wouldn't it help their cause to release the details?

Yea, I think conference championship or bust is a bit much. I don't think it's that dire. No bowl game, and yea, he's definitely out.

I think 9 is probably a good number. If he gets there, I think he stays.

Nope. Perrin told my friend at a tailgate that Charlie is gone after next year if he doesn't produce BIG. That's what I was mentioning above. He's most definitely not in Charlie's corner.

    Schedule so brutal.

But I think either SW or JF will be a big improvement from what we saw last year. Hopefully our new WRs step up early and we can improve there as well.

I'm really liking this DL unit going into next year. Should have some quality pass rushers.

Really hoping we can add this LB from Illinois. I think he's ours to lose.

Arkansas, MSU, and A&M shouldn't be as difficult as they have lately.

Clemson, @Ole Miss, @UGA, and @Bama should be fun.

A&M should never be difficult for us until they learn to stop the run.

Forgot about MSU losing Dak, yeah they'll go back to themselves.
