Screw it, win 'em all now.
technically it would be Martinez and Shilling in the Dome cause the wild card doesn't get home field. But you're right, it's going to be tough who ever we play. I just think we'd have better luck at home.

I am going to make my 1,000th post in the best thread on the boards, much love for the Twins and their run to the post season.

Oh yeah, and for Radke having 15 no-decisions this year, he should be voted in to be Santana's vice Cy-young winner, then they can run for office.

So, let me get this straight.....after all of your pain and suffering, you are rooting for the Twins, but if you guy blow at least one game, it doesn't matter! YOU WILL LOSE ONE GAME! sorry, hate to be the one to break it to you.

You can keep dreaming about winning a division title, it will wait at least one more year, but that still wouldn't mean a thing!

Man, you Red Sox fans aren't the brightest. Looks like we will be facing you in the first round...let me introduce you to a little friend of ours.... JOHAN SANTANA! Say hello (and goodbye) Johan!

Homer Hankies should be out soon - look for a give away at this weekends final home stand, and the first games of the playoffs - although I haven't heard any "official" announcement, they should be showing up soon!

your counting is off as far as i can tell.

    sox are 3.5 games back.

yankees lose 4 and we win 4,(let's say the next 4 consecutive games.. forget for right now about the other 2 the yanks play and the other 3 the sox play) it puts them back one game, am i correct in that? i think so...

the sox just need to win 5 of the next 7 and the yanks lose 4 of their 6... and i think the sox take division.

    i think.

    anyways, GO TWINS!! WOO!!

i know this isn't about the real minnesota twins but me and my friend from high school started a band a couple of years back called the minnesota twins. we wrote a bunch of tenatious d'ish songs and put on this concert in his front yard. we raided my church's costume closet and got two children's donkey costumes (skin tight) and put on a hilarious show. actually, one of the songs we wrote is still being played by some musician friends of mine and i'll play it at the bar every now and then. god we're idiots

We're doing our best, but mother nature is not cooperating. I see a double header in the near future. A double header would defnitely benefit the Twins, as our pitching is far superior.

Yes, it is ONE better that Johan, who will shut down the Yanks today...and I believe that Johan has something like 5 or 6 starts where he gave up 2 or less runs, the Twins offense just wan't clicking in the first half of the season. And Schilling can't touch his other stats! Johan has proven to be THE MOST DOMINANT pitcher since the all star break!

    Johan for Cy Young!

But in EVERY game we were in the game. Game 1, Santana stays in, the games over and we win, no question. Game 2, we come back from a 3 run deficit only to fall short. Game 3, a late game homerun. There is a reason to be optimistic.

Here's where we are folks, we need a sweep and hope that either the A's or Angels only win two and don't sweep and we'll get the BoSox at home. If the A's or Angels sweep, or we win 2 or 1 or 0...we go back to the Bronx.

I totally agree, it wasn't all bad. There is hope! The Yanks just have a way of beating teams in the late innings.

How true, especially when they had not yet clinched their division. The Twins are not in a race and are holding back. It would have been a nice psychological boost to beat the Yankees, but sometimes a hard set of losses can strentghen the teams resolve when it counts. Look at the 1980 USA Olympic Hockey Team for example.

OK, so the damn Yankees have a way of always taking care of us in the regular season...remmeber last year, Johan beat Mussina in Game 1. The Twins had not beat Mussina in like 20 starts, and then we pounded him. I am still not too worried, and I think when they come back to the dome, the Twins WIN close out the series. Take on in NY, finish it off at home.

2004 Homer Hankies are now available!

Matt - if you want one, I may be able to send one or some down with Crumbo, if you are meeting him before the show. Of course, every year they sell out of the first run within 10 minutes, but I am going to try to get some today.

The Twins game this afternoon was suspended until tomorrow because they dome needed to be changed in to a football stadium. The Twins and Indians were tied in the 11th inning when the game was suspended. Gardy is pissed off and so is most of the Twins team, hopefully this doesnt fuck them over in trying to get homefield. It will be a mini double header tomorrow, I bet the continuation of today's game will last half an inning at most.

The Twins and Indians were tied in the 11th inning when the game was suspended. Gardy is pissed off and so is most of the Twins team, hopefully this doesnt fuck them over in trying to get homefield. It will be a mini double header tomorrow, I bet the continuation of today's game will last half an inning at most.
let's hope that the Twins can end it quickly and then take that "mini momentum" into the 3rd game. And everyone cheer for the A's.

The Twins got screwed today. And it's even more reason why they need thier own stadium.

I dont know who I'd rather draw in the first round, Boston or the Yanks. In either case, lets hope Anaheim wins their series so we can have a rematch of 2002's ALCS.
