You'll be fine... The pavilion is actually pretty narrow compared to most venues.

So, what's anyone doing? I work an exit away from Montage, get out at 5, zip up to the lots. I can't decide if I'll have a beer or two in the lots or in the venue. You all?

I am venturing into no-man's land (the lawn) for the first time since 2001-ish. At first, I did not get tickets at all; I later decided to get tickets, but couldn't bring myself to pay $75+ for (what I consider to be) a diminishing product. That aside, I am optimistic and very excited to go; I hope the experience can renew my excitement about this band.

Only a few days away. Over the years Scranton has had some huge openers that stray from the typical. i.e. #41, Stone, Pantala~Rapunzel, and last year a rare Seek Up~BEF~DDTW run early. Any ideas or guesses as to what the boys might treat us to this year? My dream opener would be a Blue Water---->JTR, ala State College 2000. For a realistic prediction I'm going with.....Bartender to open, Billies to close

I'd be happy w/ a powerful Bartender opener and it's hard to complain about a Tripping Billies closer. For fun: I'll go w/ a Warehouse opener and a Two Step > Ants to close.

I've been waiting for a Bartender at scranton since 2005. Its something i need. Its my hometown venue and the only place where i am able to get pit. I need a bartender at scranton. They never disappoint on the mountain and im sure this year will be no different. I'm pretty sure my sister is too cool to sit with me this year and instead sit in the lawn with her friends. So, i may be by myself in the pit. What's everyones plan. I like to usually stand on stefan's side. 8 days from now we will be on the mountain in pure happiness. thats my go to dance.

What rarities breakouts do people see the mt. getting next week? Seemingly every year Scranton gets some quality rarities. "Last Stop" in 2006, "Recently" in 2008, "Cry Freedom", "Busted Stuff" in 2010, "Help Myself" in 2011.

Also, a pretty good chance of getting some tasty left overs from the Spac weekend.

Mainstays that the venue is missing: Bartender, Halloween, Typical.

In terms of getting out "fairly" quickly for parking, what time do you recommend arriving at venue. I know I should park to the right and not to the left of the venue.

I would say not later than 4:00 that lot fills up quick. There coming down the mountain use these directions. With this you won't sit in line down the mountain.

I'm most looking forward to the potential moe. / DMB cross-polination. I do not think it's too wishful to hope for Jeff playing w/ moe. and / or Al Schnier sitting in w/ DMB. We shall see...

Pretty much an everyman type thing. Fingers crossed you're parked at the end of the aisle, near the gate.

There are some options as you work your way down the mountain, but from the lots to the first traffic light is only one road.

this will only save you a few minutes. once you hit that light to turn left, if you go straight its pretty smooth sailing from there because everybody is going one direction. the majority of the time you sit in traffic comes between your parking spot and when you hit that light.
