you're correct, the latest poster and t-shirt are both legit.

In 2005, Dave apparently played a secret solo acoustic set at a small venue in Byron Bay called the Great Northern. Rumors were swirling around at the time, but I don't think much has been written about the secret show. If anyone has any tips on a possible secret show in Byron this time around, please post them here. It would be tragic to miss this opportunity if it arises again

It's not on Almanac, and this is the first I've heard of it.

    Nothing on Google either.

The Melbourne show was taped and there's apparently a link on dreamingtree.org

Caught The first set at Byron Bay Bluesfest last night....

Great show, band was in fine form. Managed to meet a couple of the guys back stage too, such nice guys.

    Looking forward to night 2!

Saw the first show at BBBF as well. Band sounded phenomenal. Set list for night 2 would have been more to my liking but not complaining with night one. Not to mention on the first night Jon Butler Trio absolutely KILLED it before DMB which set the tone..

Anyone know if either show was taped?

A couple of reviews of the show that are very positive...even with the bow drop.

From where I was standing (pretty much eyeballing Rashawn and Jeff), I didn't see as much as some. Yes, Boyd looked, shall I say, subdued, but I never really thought much about it until I got home from the show and logged on here.

I'm not going to let it dampen the absolute blast I had though. I think I enjoyed last night a little more than 5/5/07 (partly because of where I was in the venue, and also the fact it was 7 years since the last show), and I got to meet Dave afterwards and get a photo with him (albeit with him on the other side of a fence ).
I was on the rail in front of R&J myself, loving every minute of being deafened by the speaker in front of us! Great show, and Melbourne was even better where I was on the rail in front of Boyd, and yes he dropped the bow more than once. Was a relief to hear later it is arthritic issues, not other things people were suggesting.

Moment of the Melb night for me was at the start of Too Much when my drumming idol Carter personally acknowledged me, made this old fella feel like a kid! Got a stick in Sydney too!
