Re: Official Molson Amphitheatre 2004 Thread - T.O.

I've got a formal charge for Toronto reserved.

I'm going to skip Darien this year. Well, at least for now. As the date draws closer, if my work isn't busy and I have money to spare, maybe I'll pick up some instants or last-minute TM releases. Right now, I'm concentrating on my Gorge trip.

Speaking of, my hold for the Gorge still indicates reserved for all 3 nights, but that seems too good to be true.

Me too. However, I expected to get declined for Darien because I asked for reserved only but got it. Hmmm. Maybe that's too good to be true also....

Ok I am becoming increasingly confident that I am not going to get WH tickets for series 2.

How are all you ontarians getting to the gorge? (I envy you all).

Have any of you received your WH membership packages?

I got mine too and the exact same charge....does this mean that at least we have reserved seats? Please say yes!!!!

Next year, my goal before I get pregnant, will be to travel across the country for 2 weeks and go to all 3 Gorge shows too! Hopefully there will be Gorge shows next year.....or else my plan is SCREWED!

Whoops -- I just checked again. Now it looks like I'm getting 2/3 Gorge (but reserved for both). I still won't complain. At least that's only 1 show I need to hit TM for. Considering all 3 Gorge shows have the same public onsale time, I'd hate to be trying for more than one.

Sorry for all the Gorge talk in a Toronto thread Toronto kicks ass too!!

I just checked too. Same thing. 2/3 Gorge shows. I can't believe this. It's got to be impossible. I'm only 3rd year. Reserved for 2 GORGE shows. Craziness. They're messing with us.....

Call Mastercard and ask if there are any temp charges on your account..they won't be able to tell you who charged your account..but if there is a temp charge for a large amount (and you haven't made any other large purchases)..you can assume its the warehouse..or by this time..just ask if there are any charges from the warehouse...it seems like they have billed for TO. See you all in Toronto!

I rec'd my warehouse package from 2003 about 3 weeks ago.

I am soooooooo stoaked to come to To to see Dmb, I saw them for the 1st time last summer at the Gorge and am definately going back there. About hittiing up Tm for tickets, just a head up that there are like 1000's of scalpers at the Gorge I got Row 22 last year for the 2nd night off a scalper and payed the same price as TM.... Something to think about. Also I think it is stellar that the Fest. is probably going to be in NY cause that means that seeing as I am down there for the TO show I am gonna head to NY for the Fest. Which works out great for me, that'll mean 6 shows this summer comming from a prarie gal that would NEVER get to See Dave and the boys out here, I can't wait! See ya there!

Last year i had 8th row from stage WH Montreal
    13th row from stage Toronto.
Let's seriously hook up for beers before the show.
I recommend the Devil's Advocate at 655 Bay
Maybe an hour or two before the show head to the treehouse in the Amphitheatre grounds. If you're looking at the water from the carpark the treehouse is on the far left. It's aptly named so you can't miss it.
I got declined on my WH tix - short by approx $30. Fuck!!!!
have to be on the ball next Saturday now that TM.ca has that rotten "type the word you see to continue" like TM.com
    Canada Day party?

Heather, is there usually a lot of people lined up at the Ticketmaster in SUdbury, cause Im going with my friend from Suds, and he said he is getting tickets, but Im worried that it will be busy there, do you think it would be better for me to get them here in Guelph?? We need to get 6 tickets.

as long as you're first in line you'll be aight. see for most shows thought TM (not just DMB) all tickets go on sale on saturday at 10am. if you're first in line you should be aight. if you're second or third, you still should get tickets, but i doubt they'll be all that good. i went to brockville ontario and was second in line and got upper bowl in the ACC a couple of years ago. i go online instead, i think it's safer.

My 13th row were from WH. I also got a pair in 202 10th row from TM and a single in 201 and a single in 200.
I'm going to try for 2 tix TO on TM through IE, 2 through Netscape and 2 through RealPlayer One.I was just thinking the best place for a AM meet & greet would probably be somewhere on front st on down on Queens Quay at the Boathouse Bar & Grill maybe....they have an excellent patio and Amphitheatre is only a 20 minute walk from there.
    Thoughts on pre show activities....?

We need to get 6 tickets.
Michelle, I have never stood in line for TM tickets, I have always got them from the internet, so I dont know. I didnt even know there was a TM ticketbooth in Sudbury....sorry. I dont know if you have better chances on the internet or in a line up....

I think I have decided against getting TM tickets along with my WH tickets. I got reserved seats for TO, I know it means I dont have lawn, but how good are the seats going to be? My thinking earlier was that I was going to get lawn seats, but now that I know im not, I think ill just stick with my WH tickets...any recommendations on what I should do (this goes the same for the Darien show..I got reserved tix)...

I think as long as we have a AM meet and greet that would be great, I dont know TO that well to know what places to go to, and where places are....

    Here are my experiences...

Though I expect demand is up this year (no Montreal show, no Michigan show, no SPAC... and better timing), last year WH members did very well for Toronto. The vast majority of WH tickets -- from what I read on the various boards -- where in the 100s and 200s. It seems a good number of first year members were even in the 200s. On the other hand, most TM people were in the 300s and worse. Correct me if I'm wrong, just my observations.

I went to Toronto with a group of 4 last year. My WH pair was in sec. 202 (second year member at the time) and my TM pair, getting right through at 10am, was sec. 304. For Toronto, I think sticking with your WH pair will be fine.

For Darien... it's tough. Darien Lake is not a huge venue, and a large chunk of good seats are for coporate/vip/Clear Channel, so what you get from WH may not be very impressive. You'll pretty much have to be 4th year or greater to get anything better than the 300s. On the other hand, you may not have any better luck with TM. Darien Lake is high demand... it'll sell out faster than a lot of places. I'm not sure what to suggest here, but don't get your hopes up for great seats from either TM, or WH.
