I kind of wondered if Jesse's laugh had to do with that fact that Walt may have screwed him several times, but he always returned to help him. Almost like a father pushing you on a bike, then picking you up after you fall.

nah. he got hit with a ricochet jacket. i've been hit by jackets. it stings and you may or may not bleed a bit.

he just gave up. accepted his fate***. if he were to be dead, he'd have done it himself; like Jesse suggested.

they very clearly left it open for expansion/movie/spinoff for a reason. and until vince gilligan says "walt is dead"... he's just not.

*** Probably, if i had to guess, he laid there waiting for medical help. they would send him to the hospital before jail. walt (with the help of Saul) already worked out a deal with people there or the officer guarding him to get him out and more breaking bad hi-jinx ensue. he might not have been hit at all, could be a blood packet. we know walt doesn't go into an action without planning for every single thing. no half measures.

I'd def agree that there's a small window for a movie or mini-series but I really, really don't think it's going to happen. I think the writer's intended us to perceive he's dead because he is dead.

    Vince Gilligan:

    Quote:
“I have to say the death of Walter White affected me the most, because what it represented was the end of the story and the completion of this seven-year journey we had taken together — the cast, crew, writers and directors of Breaking Bad. That was the most affecting death to write. I actually teared up when I wrote it. I think a close second was the death of Mike Ehrmantraut.”

Just finished my second viewing of the series last night. Wife's first time. Loved watching it with someone who was going in blind. So great.

I'm surprised I've never seen this. A very well done animated take on Mike's "Half Measures" story from Breaking Bad.

is anyone here on ants actually from the Albequerque area? or just even New Mexico in general? cause granted I'd never even heard of the phrase "breaking bad" before I saw this show and think I was well into season 2 at least before I finally found out exactly what it meant. that it was this sort of regional colloquialism. But when I happened to be thinking about the show a few days ago it hit me, I wonder if it's now considered rather dorky to genuinely use the phrase in conversation, because of the exposure it got from the series. That even if you're originally from the area, you'll get some eye rolls if you naturally use it.
