Really thinking about mentioning making things official tomorrow.

I just got that feeling last week that we've taken a big step forward within the past week and a half (and already have two dates planned for this week). I also feel like that if I don't bring it up, it might never get discussed. I've gathered that she is kind of timid about making the first move/talking about these types of things.

Eh, I don't know if a week is going to make a ton of difference. I feel like it's need some type of defining at this point. It's been over two months since we first started talking and I feel like at this point, the topic at least needs to be broached.

I say do it Jordan. If things are looking up and she isn't going to bring it up due to being timid then you should.

Monday: Went over to chick's house. Summed as the rebound guy. Weird chick though.
Thursday: Go to bar to meet up with a girl. Turns out she's part of a group of swingers. They all invite me back to their hotel room. I decline...drink alone at the bar. Not a bad night though
Saturday: Went over to play music with a girl who's really cool. We spent most of the time hanging out instead of playing so that seems like a good sign.

So you are talking to someone you think is attractive by their current pics online on some dating site, but the pics are not so inclusive of how you want to see. A few private msg exchanges for better pics lead to her maybe thinking you are physically shallow.... does that happen to you guys...

Not all of them. Most of the people in the group weren't fat. Just some ugly and most older. I was the youngest one that would have been involved and I'm 26.

Are you asking for noodz? Because if you are then I can see where they may think that. Though I mean typically I don't ask for more pics. I'll meet someone first.

Sounds like you are trying to see if she is fat and those pics are current, so yeah, that's being shallow. Just meet her first. Or watch the shitty fat suit tender video.

I'd never ask for better pictures. That's terrible.

Just meet her for a drink or something once. If you aren't attracted, just say thanks and leave after a beer.

You have to stop doing this to yourself man. Is she worth all the anguish she has caused/is causing you? Do you really think she has changed and will stay that way? I'd tread very carefully.

    Re: Dating is miserable

    Forgot to update this thread.

Made it official on Monday night (I think ). Was nervous about it all day, but went out with her friends (another couple and a fifth wheel) for trivia and had a great time. Got back to her apartment, talked to her other roommate for a bit and then she said she was going to go crash for the night. I was about to say fuck it and wait until Friday, but decided what the hell. Pulled her into her room quick, sat her on the bed and completely botched whatever it was I had thought I was going to say. Ended up spitting something along the lines of, "So, I've just gonna put this out there. I really like you so, uh, should we make this official?" Kicked myself for a split second before she replied saying she was glad she didn't have to bring it up. I told her that was a relief and was glad we got that out of the way and that was about it. So, technically, I didn't get a "yes," but I'm pretty sure we're on the same page. Might have to clarify

We summed in a bathroom. She's been changed ever since. Trying, correcting things she should have awhile ago, told me she's ready to try and she's upset with herself it took this long

I told her I'm guarded. I boned her to bone her. But idk where I'm at with it. Mostly bc of my rotations and plans with other friends who are women
This is the dumbest thing I think I've read in here.

Seriously man. She fucked you over. Bad blood cannot just be repaired. It's not just that people don't change, they can change with other people in different relationships and situations. Your situation will almost certainly fall back into old habits. It's inevitable. And you know this.

She's going back to you to get rid of her "missing you" feelings, and you stand there waiting to take a line off her tits just because it's right in front of you and tempting you.

Stay clean. You just fell off the wagon. Vary dumb.

    Re: Dating is miserable

I may have to trademark "iffy does not get me stiffy" as it's seemed to bring the lulz...much like my life.

honestly, I'm now 8 hours away on a surgery rotation in which I work about 14 hours a day. I don't have time to think about it. she's talked to me every day, much differently than she has been...and I don't respond until after like 8 hours sometimes. it's not constant chatter, mostly because there's other things I want to do or spend my time on than texting/talking to her. however, the things she chooses to talk about are things she never chose to before, and she's also trying to express her feelings (feelings about anything) and frustrations (frustrations about anything, like her day on her rotation or something)...she's always bottled up, never cared to share. so idk.

the only thing I do know is I AM treading carefully. I'm guarded. just have to see what happens on this next few weeks before we're back to school for call backs, but I've never felt an indifference toward a situation before, so I guess the previous 5 weeks of rotation certainly helped me in that regard in distancing myself from it.

Congrats man, sounds like things are going in the right direction and you both wanted to have that convo.
