So if I'm going to convert the flac files, does it matter if I download the 16 or 24 bit? or only matters if you keep them as is?

The 24 bit can only be played on your computer or Ipod. They cannot be burned to cds. 24 bit have more range and surround sound. Hope that helps.

Anyone else notice Dave mess up the first chord on Ants? I remember noticing it at the show and thinking it was really weird, and it's very blatant on the tape. Was he going for Halloween? Or just trolling?? lol.
There were a lot of other miscues throughout the night by the band/crew as well. Mic not working, piano not working, cymbal changed mid-two step.
All that said though, the setlist was very strong, and I had a great time in the pit.
Toronto crowd = lame... as expected though.

Curious how many of you "crowd was lame" folks were in the pit.

In any case, I will continue campaigning for DMB to tour a few more Canadian cities before their time has come .. hopefully still lots of time to make it happen

24-bit can also be streamed to your HT receiver, or burned to DVD and played on your DVD player.

24-bit doesn't denote the number of channels (surround sound). You can have 16-bit/44.1kHz surround sound or 24/96 mono. 24-bit does offer the potential for more dynamic range, but we're talking 144dB for 24/96 vs. 96dB for 16/44.1 so with most recordings giving you around 12dB (tapers tapes, not the awful 3dB you're getting with Chili Peppers last few CDs) you're never going to realize that additional dynamic range. Sampling rate denotes frequency response so 96kHz will be more capable of reproducing upper harmonics that some people suggest can evoke a physiological response even though you can't hear it. I buy it, that's why I'll download 24-bit copies of my favourite shows.

I am definitely a huge fan of surround sound though, Scott Brown has issued a couple quad recordings where he's had mics facing forwards and backwards at shows. You'd need to burn those to DVD-Audio though and have a DVD-Audio player.

Just wanted to say Thank You to Lenny Stubbe for taping this show. It is really hard to find Toronto shows, and I appreciate his efforts.

08.10.01 - my first DMB show at Molson Amphitheatre (DMB's first too!)

12 years ago today, loads of Dave crazy-foot dancing throughout the show but especially during Stay. Great show, heading out on a 2.5 hour drive so going to put this one to USB and take it in the car.

Just a reminder about my campaign (or whatever you want to call it to #BringDMB2Canada - I really do believe with enough support, we can convince #DMB to add a few 2014 Canada shows (Ottawa, Montreal, maybe Quebec City .. and beyond!).

With all this talk about new International dates, I gotta believe its worth a shot..

Sure, i'm ok with all those telling me i'm naive, crazy, wasting time - that really doesn't bother me. For the small chance it could happen, it is worth it.

I really do appreciate all the support so far, and just ask if you can (or, can let others know) visit and like my page(s), this would be a wonderful start.

Thanks in advance.. as mentioned, I appreciate it.
