Who is that? Does her voice resemble Lisa's?

Can't wait for new material. I can't see it disappointing.

No idea what she sounds like. Here's the link (it's French): http://www.elle.fr/elle/loisirs/musi...e/(gid)/907441#

The basic jist I've gotten from some discussion of it is that they're going out, Damien's writing the music, and she's writing the lyrics. Don't know who's singing. Also, Thomas Dybdahl is recording with them.

Finally! Some news from the lazy ass! Pumped pumped pumped! From the official website:

"Damien to record & film new material in front of an Icelandic audience in November

Damien travels to Iceland early November to record and film new material in front of an Icelandic audience. The recording and filming session will take place in Reykjavik, in a undisclosed space which aims to create an intimate setting for Damien to perform his new material in front of live audience. He will also be playing some material from earlier albums as well as answering questions from the audience. There will be four exclusive recording sessions, over two days (4th & 5th November), and only 90 tickets will be available for each session. Ticket information to follow later."

So he did an interview. His first actual, in-depth one in three years. Guess who was in love, and is still in love, with Lisa? From Hot Press across the pond. Here's the link:

    http://damienrice.forumfree.it/?t=44...entry366982575

And here's the full transcribed article (warning, long as fuck, but that's a good thing):

I just came across these performances from the "Cathedral Cave" in 2008, had to share them in case anyone hasn't seen them. Amazing performances as always...

Here's Rootless Tree, and there's more in the related videos:

Damien released a new song (Connoisseur of Great Excuse) on an I-tunes only benefit album "Gasoline Rainbows" November 30th. Have not listened in full, but from what i've heard, his song will be worth the purchase.

Also, if no one knew already, Damien helped with Melanie Laurent's new (first) album. If you don't know who that is, she's the French actress best known for being a badass theatre owner in Inglourious Basterds.

    Sample songs:
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XfbcE...eature=related

Also, I think she's gorgeous. I fell in love after I saw Inglourious Basterds.

Seriously thought there was new album news when this was topped. Let down.

I just read the article posted above for the first time and really glad I did it. Sheds so much more light on Damien as a person/musician....and makes me really damn grateful that I saw him perform in a small venue in 2007 because at this rate there might never be another chance.

He's done multiple recording sessions for his new album, according to his fansite. It seems really strange there its been 5 years since 9 and he still doesn't have an album announced.

Great artist, I had a couple of his songs, Blowers Daughter and 9 Crimes on my iTunes but I finally bought the album O. Incredible album, I love Delicate, Older Chests, Cold Water. I picked up 9 and B-Sides last night, looking forward to listening to them.
