Re: Survivor: Fans vs. Favorites II

Probst said in an interview somewhere that Brenda has been very active back at the camp in Stealth Are Us, but with some of the bigger storylines like Philip/Brandon, Dawn, etc.... they haven't had a chance to show her.

The video editor in me is telling me that Brenda will be around at the end. Basically the opened the season with Brenda saying she is trying to stay under the radar, then poof we didn't hear from her for WEEKS.

Finally after like 6-8 weeks she is starting to be involved. To me, they edited it like that to make it more dramatic when she does eventually have to make a choice. It seems like the strange way they edited her out for most of the show will be leading to something. It's is strange how they really haven't showed the inner workings of the top alliance. Brenda/Andrea/Cocky/Dawn/Long haired dude...they really have not nailed down a leader.. they also haven't hinted at any cracks between them.

This season is going to get wild at the end I'm guessing

I would agree with how they have portrayed Brenda to this point. Do we dare start making Final 3 predictions? If I had to I would go with:

    1) Malcolm - although he is even a bigger target now. gotta win immunity every week to stay around, which means he has to get rid of Reynold sooner rather then later.
    2) Brenda - I can't figure out if she or Andrea are pulling the strings. The upside to Brenda is the fact that has flown under the radar. She can win challenges too, so that will help her case.
    3) Eric - this was a tough call, but I went with someone that I think has no shot at winning, but could win late immunities and put himself in the Final 3. Plus he is a sheep and will vote with the majority to keep playing.

I'm having trouble predicting. I'm hoping for Brenda, Cochran, and whoever at the end. I just really need to hear Cochran try and convince the jury to vote for him. It will rank right up there with Russell insulting everybody...twice.

Sad to see Malcolm go. Great player but got himself on the wrong end of a solid alliance.

    I agree.

cochran seemed to be getting a little bit full of himself this week. his whole "voting malcolm out would be delicious" made me want to throw up.

Really? Far from it for me, but it's been good.

These next 2 episodes could be really boring.

I bet Malcolm told the guys where the idol was. He would have been stupid not to. I bet there is still some action in the game.

Just watched last weeks episode, bummer. Malcolm has the physical tools, he just plays the young guy roll too well. Boston Rob figured out that all the physical attributed won't due crap if you don't control the right people. Could see Malcolm coming back in a couple years for one more go around.

As for the rest of the season, agree about the next two episodes. Really hope they don't pick off Eddie and Reynold, or the final group will be pretty weak. I could see the main group picking off a few of their own at this point. You have to start removing the strong jury vote players, like Dawn and Cochran. Those players become more of a threat in the end.

    From EW:

EW: Tease us up for next week, sir!
PROBST: Oh where do I begin? This season is on such a roll. Well let’s see — we tempt them down with food and once again I am BLOWN away by decisions made during an immunity challenge. Cochran continues to flex his muscles and Tribal? Holy cow. Awesome. Enjoy!

He is hilarious in that the two challenges he has won have been an eating contest, and one where he had a huge advantage. Surely he realizes this. Still rooting for Andrea

Same with me, normally in this game a person being cocky does not bother me, but he has definitely gotten cocky the last few episodes and can't stand it for some reason.

Hope the season doesn't get boring because there really isn't anyone in that bigger alliance that I particularly like.

Sad to see Malcolm go, of course.

What is with all the Cochran hate? He has played a really solid game in that he has stuck to his strategy, didn't allow the "muscle" to take over, and he has the ability to read peoples strategies and stay ahead of them.

I'm rooting for him now. Although, I think he is the next big threat and will have to win an immunity to stay in the game. Pretty good season, the last two season were ZZzzZZ....

I just find him and his entire alliance boring to watch, mainly because I don't really find any of them particularly likable in any way outside of Andrea.

Plus, not sure what is happening tonight, but it doesn't appear he has had to use tons of strategy yet, just happens to be with the right group of people.

It's funny, the way they filmed it I knew they would try to blindside Andrea. So I was yelling at her to play the idol, but obviously she didn't feel threatened at all.

People can be pretty good liars. I'm not one, which is why I would suck at this game.

My wife was hilarious last night.... complaining about how stupid Andrea was for not playing the idol. I'm trying to tell her that of course the viewer thinks she should because we are biased and see what the other side is thinking, but Andrea has NO IDEA anything is afoot, so why would she?? Seriously, it was like talking to a brick wall last night.

At the same time I know what your wife means. It's gotta be the worst getting voted out when you have an unplayed immunity.

andrea's reaction was priceless....it was so perfect. and I really liked her, but Cochran changed the game when he told Brenda and Dawn that Andrea was going after them. It was over for her then. Cochran is playing awesomely right now...but he could certainly be the next to go. I'd love to see him win just because I think he's hilarious....but I'd rather Brenda win because she is filthy hot....

At this point in the game, no matter how safe you feel, you play the idol. What did Andrea have to gain by holding on to it? Everyone knew she had it, they have been flushing the idols out all season. Have to say Cochran is playing well, almost Richard Hatch like at this point. He just needs to keep his ego in check. Have to think that Brenda and Dawn are still on the chopping block, along with Cochran. Those are the big 3 at this point. I can't see Eddie winning, although he would get Malcolm and Reynold's vote and maybe Michael. Sherri and Eric have nothing in way of strategy to say they out played anyone.

Sherri and Eric have nothing in way of strategy to say they out played anyone.
yeah I think that Brenda, Dawn, Cochran, and Erik need to do all they can to get Sherri and Eddie in the final 3 with one of them. Will be interesting to see who can make that happen....my money would be on Cochran or Brenda, but Erik could be the dark horse....

This has definitely been one of the better seasons ever.

Family reunion episode tonight, always brings the tears. Should be a interesting couple of episodes, finale being on Sunday. Agree, Jordan, been a great season. Hope they can keep the momentum going in the fall.
