Outkast recently announced shows here in Atlanta for the first time in forever and it was nuts. They added 2 more shows over the course of the day. Outrageous scalper prices. I can foresee the same happening for this.

Also can imagine the wannabe redneck bros turning out for this show.

well... shit, times have changed. but pre-internet days...

people would line up at blockbuster or foleys and wait for tix to go on sale.

then he would sell out, then immediately open sales to a second show. then sell out and immediately open tix to a third show... and so on. he wouldn't stop adding shows until a show didn't sell out for a couple days.

usually that meant he would play six or seven night stands. so anyone who wanted to see him could.

now, with internet and fan clubs, vip seating and shit, who knows. but i'm sure he has that worked out.

This is true. I remember in 1997ish he played a 6-night stand in Sioux Falls freakin South Dakota.

back in the day he played a handful of songs every show because they had elaborate tech and things rehearsed for it. but there was also a mini set where he would play solo and take requests from the crowd and what not.

GB shows are pretty amazing. one of a kind.

I would imagine he'd play in Oklahoma. Tulsa, Stillwater or OKC. And yes, it would be awesome for him to play Boone Pickens Stadium.

In '98 he did six or seven nights in Houston, six or seven in Dallas, then four in college station. If say there will be plenty of shows for everybody.

That's the only thing I could see, hence calling it a longshot. It would have to be a spring show, because they'd need the field for seating at BPS and I just can't see them doing that during football season.

Especially since new field turf was just laid down.

I don't see them playing BPS. His shows need arena features that basketball stadiums or domes can provide (i.e. Anchor points and rigging from the ceiling).

But he could play wherever he wants. I'm sure they could make it work. Or just do without some theatrics.

BPS would be the only place he could play a homecoming show in Stillwater. GIA is too small for that.

The chances are still way too slim that he'd even play a homecoming show but it's fun to dream. Spent many a nights in college at the bar where he first took the stage.
