I'm with you. Definitely the best week in sports. Really hard to beat April-June. Final Four, MLB Opening Day and regular season, The Masters, Kentucky Derby, Preakness, Belmont, U.S. Open, French Open, CWS, and WCWS.

Even with CFB starting in September, it's just hard to beat all that.

it used to be spring because of March Madness and baseball, but over the last 5 years both have slipped for me. I think college basketball kinda sucks now, and since the Phillies have been terrible baseball has become hard to watch. Right now I'm all about late August-October meaningful baseball games and the anticipation of football

Thinking about it a little more I would say either now or late September to late October. Take this year for example .. Ryder Cup, MLB playoffs, NFL, College football. I guess either April or late September into October if you want to take a single month as a "time of the year".

CFB and MLB in October is pretty killer, but the combo of all these sports makes March-ish through June the best. MLB on every night, college baseball/softball Regionals/Supers/CWS, U.S Open, Triple Crown Races, etc.

Don't give a shit about the NFL start unless it's the Falcons and even then it doesn't get exciting until December.

Fall Saturdays alone are the single best days of the year when it comes to sports. Even when Auburn loses I hardly have "bad" days or are bored because the build up to Saturday is something special all by itself.

One thing I do like about CBB vs the NBA is there’s no tanking. I watched Vanderbilt, who has no shot at the tournament, play like it was the national championship against Tennessee, who is fighting for a top seed. The level of play sn’t the same obviously but it seems like it means more.

For me it is the start of the baseball season. The weather starts to get nice. You also have the Masters and the NCAA basketball tourney. I love October as well if the Cubs are in the postseason. Playoff baseball and football. The period after the super bowl is probably the worst since I don’t care too much about basketball.

4-2-07: Went to the Monday Master's Practice round with 3 other Florida Gators buddies; they were all going to Augusta for the first time. Spent 8 hours on the course with perfect conditions. Drove back to ATL, rested a little, then watched Florida beat Ohio St for Nat'l Champ from mid-court about 15 rows up; I think it was the first year for that ticket-option outfit that has had different names over the years (teamtix at one point?). No one knew about it so they didn't even sell all the options; got the tickets for face value at the last minute.
