I have been in the Warehouse since 2009. For the Times Union Center in Albany, I requested through the warehouse and got some nose bleed seats. Basically dont expect anywhere in the first 20 or even anywhere is the orchestra, on a night based on seniority. When you throw in a high demand show in a small venue, such as this one, it makes getting good tix really difficult.
On the nights where its all random, well its just that, random. You have just as good a shot as a day one member at getting front row seats. You have to weigh the benfits and costs. For me, I try and get to 4-6 shows a summer. The membership is worth it just for that. I also got lucky and got seats for Dave and Tim in CT. The demand for that was nuts, wouldnt of been in the building without my membership.
Honestly, if your only going to a few shows, it would probably be more advantagous to sign up for whichever credit card company is doing the presale each year. I had no problem pulling pit tix for both nights of Jones Beach. And just messing around I was pulling orchestra and pit for Alpine. All my tickets this year, with the exception of SPAC (bc I only wanted lawn, and would rather get the warehouse ticket bc I like the design) came from the Citi Presale.
