I just purchsed the 4 disc box set off of ebay after throughly enjoying the DVD..Does anyone else out there in ants land have this?? How much does it truley kick ass?!? Im very excited and cant wait for it to come!!

    ive got the record set on vinyl. pretty good stuff. neil young, bob dylan, joni mitchell, the banc, clapton, how can you go wrong

    I have it. I thought is was very good, but as a concert, Rock of Ages was way better.

    I arrived home on Friday and immedietley started listening. Simply one of the best purchases ever. This four discs lack nothing!! Such a special night and I wish I coulda been there (....WAY before my time...) I can tell these 4 discs are going to be in HEAVY rotation in my cd player over the next while!!

    The Band is a GREAT band. i love them greatly..just fantastic.

    It Makes No Difference is probably one of the best heartbrake songs ever written. I especially dig Danko's voice, even though I used to hate it.

    The press is getting an advance listen and if anyone cares to check it out go HERE

    As an amazing live album as "The Last Waltz" is, my favorite and IMHO the better of the two is "Rock of Ages"
    This album catches them at the peak of their career and should be right up there with any best live album list.

    i gotta check this out. i saw the band live only one time. they opened up for the dead on 7.9.95 and they were great. 1st and last dead show for me. also the last show they performed w/ jerry. he died exactly one month later on 8.9.

    that wasnt the full Band. Orignal guitarist Robbie Robertson had quite in 1976 and Vocalist Richard MAnuel had died in 1986

    I saw them, The Grateful Dead and the Allman Brothers at Watkins Glen back in '73 along with about 600,000 others.
