Jiffy Lube or Farm Bureau?

Hey everybody. I'm taking a road trip with my good friends and we want to drive down from NY to see DMB in VA. If you had to pick between Jiffy and Farm Bureau which one would you choose? Which one is more of a "hometown" show for the band? Thanks in advance. Cant wait!

Beach. Definitely the beach. Farm Bureau always gets better sets plus you get to spend the day in Virginia Beach instead of NoVA. Plus the venue itself is way better in my opinion.

And be warned Bristow historically gets bad sets. Like, really bad.

Really, really, really bad. However, the tailgate at Bristow is shaping up to be amazing, again.

Question, why not just drive to VA Beach then hit the Bristow show on the way home the next day. Silly not to don't you think? I'm assuming money isn't exactly an object because this is a big road trip for y'all. I went to Bristow last year for the first time, will be back again this year, it's not that bad.

bristow has brutal traffic...just be prepared...
I'd say Va Beach, for the idea as posted for hanging on the beach day of the show and a short ride over to the venue...

I'm liking that Bristow is on a weekend again. DC traffic won't be as much of an issue. The beach is still better than 66

I did not experience this as being the case IMO. We didn't go on 66 except for when we left (which was not bad). Yes, it takes a bit of patience to leave the venue lot, but I feel it is not brutal.

From a traffic standpoint, is either venue worth VIP parking or do you get out pretty quickly from the main lots at each? My wife will be 7 months preggo so I am just curious.

Yea if you aren't planning on sitting around in the lots and drinking after the show then I would definitely pull VIP.

Had va beach parking last year and we were at our hotel on the beach less then 10 minutes from show ending.

Thanks for the tips. Although $55 (combined) on parking seems completely absurd, I think I'll grab VIP for both as my own little insurance policy. You can never predict how a humid summer night may make a 7 month pregnant woman feel. ;-)

Va beach is a great little venue too.

Just don't go to the main strip - go to Sandbridge, chicks beach, or dam neck beach.

Jiffy Lube as a Theatre is actually a better overall venue than VaBeach, it's just in a sucky location. (not near the beach) I like jiffy alright overall.

Well coming from Fredericksburg (which is the case for me) there are a bunch of back roads leading north off 17 that will take you to Bristow. But when we left we got on 66 and took it to 95 South

Not sure what you were expecting there... I mean its in the middle of nowhere.

I actually like the venue inside better at Bristow. Just the tailgate sucks. And the shows suck.

I mean yes and no...the beer situation does suck. But overall I like VA Beach's layout more
