King Kong was the first trailer shown before Wars Of The Worlds tonight. I will be seeing this - it looks like it can be good but I still have mixed feelings toward the film and do not really know what to expect. I am going to go in expecting the worst and hoping for the best. So, then I will not be let down.

I saw this at an employee pre-screening at my local theatre last night.

Simply said, this movie blew me away beyond expectations. 100x better than I expected and perhaps the best movie I've seen this year. This movie is well worth your time even with the long running time of a whopping 3 and a half hours. Peter Jackson is the next Spielberg.

Just got back from seeing this, and all I can say is that its unbelievable! At first, I was appauled to hear that they were remaking this film, but after seeing it I feel Peter Jackson did it justice. The action sequences are amazing and the acting is spot on. BADASS!!!

I saw it today. It's almost exactly 3 hours and it slows down for about 2 minutes at a time but then other than those few moments it is almost constant action from the second half on. I think the end of the Kong Vs. T-Rex fight might be one of the coolest things i have ever seen.

I'm looking forward to seeing this movie. Peter Jackson is the man. Has anyone else seen how skinny he is now? It's kinda weird. Bring back the fat, Peter.

3.5 stars just because the sound of the t-rex was quieter than the rest of the movie. the t-rex sounded way weaker than the one is jurassic park. my only complaint

4 stars for me.....The ONLY complaint was that the airplane scene went on a LITTLE too long.

to wait for this to come out on video would be a sad mistake...

unless of coarse you have your own big screen surround sound movie theater in your home.

to possibly the best special effects i've ever seen and the movie was still excellent

Well, some of the sequences when they first get to the island might be frightening for a nine year old, but there is nothing in the way of sexuality and profanity. There are some gruesome moments, such as when an enormous leech bites off a guy's head and King Kong rips a dinosaur's head in two. If he's afraid of bugs, don't take him. However, there are relatively few "unappropriate sequences" and they are spaced out. What kind of movies is he allowed to watch?

Well, he has seen the Spidermen movies, and this doesn't sound much worse than those.

Uh, its a bit more graphic than Spiderman. You might want to see it yourself first and then make a decision (its worth seeing twice).

The violence level is more on par with Lord of the Rings.
