I really thought tonight's episode was the best since the pilot. The acting seems to be getting a little better and the plot was actually interesting-- something happened!

I think the show is getting better as well. The acting is pretty poor but at least the narrative is moving forward.

It's no coincidence that this was the best episode so far and didn't feature any villain of the week or cutesy appearances from Nygma, Selina, etc., and just focused on the mob war.

Agree - best episode since the pilot.

Didn't see that twist coming either. Penguin easily best character in this show.

Prediction - Gotham to be renewed. It's slightly less in ratings than Family Guy - so it'll probably make it another season.

I've been keeping up, but it's been a labor of love so far. I desperately want to believe it's good, but it's just so slow. The writers are clearly having a hard time filling up 22 episodes, this should have been 13-16 episodes per season, tops.

JPS hit went full-blown cartoon over-the-top this week. Actually, I'd argue Batman TAS is less of a cartoon than her character.

I agree with the labor of love part. I like the Batman mythos so much that I'm still interested, but it's been a rough ride. There are a lot of good things about this show, it just misses the mark in a lot of ways as well.

Yeah canceled the season pass a few weeks back. Have a lot of other things to watch and it would take me until almost the next week to want to watch it so....

Been catching up on the last 3 episodes and one thing that stands out to me is Kristin Kringle - the chick in the GCPD records department that Nygma is always hitting on.

That name just makes me believe they're setting her for up for something. I don't recall a character by that name in the past other than Kris "Crusher" Kringle.

Exciting that Joker is coming, will be interesting to see what backstory they give him. The comics have always been vague

I'm still watching, but not caring too much. The "Joker" stuff from last episode was the best thing to happen in months. It's so hard to have a Batman-related show without Batman. Need to see more stuff with Bruce, I thought his stuff in front of the Wayne Enterprises board was pretty good too. I hope Season 2 jumps in time a little bit and we see him right before he heads off to travel the world.

Knowing this show, probably. Although, there are many rumors out there that Jerome was not the Joker but merely a red herring.

Gordon's new fling is smoking hot. But, my roommate made a comment on how she has a ridiculously long neck on Monday and now that's all I notice

And she's having quite the success with comic book series recently. She was just announced as the female lead in the Deadpool movie today.

As for Cameron Monaghan, he's not famous by any means but he is recognizable and talented enough to garner the Joker role. Not to mention how poorly it would reflect on the show's writing if you only introduce a character with a circus/clown background and maniacal laugh as a one-off red herring.

I thought the kid playing the Joker was really good this week. I was a little confused though, about them giving the Joker a back-story. I always thought part of the mystique of the character was the he had no back-story, no friends, no family and no-one knew his real name.

It's decent to watch when there's nothing else on, but it's not amazing or anything. I usually have about 3-4 episodes piled up on the DVR before I catch up on it. It's not something I am waiting on pins and needles for each week.

I don't understand Jada Pinkett Smith's character. She's by far the least interesting on the show and they end episodes using her as a cliffhanger and it's such a letdown. Hopefully she won't be around for season 2.

She really needs to go. I think having her until Penguin took over the club was fine, but they should have killed her off
