That interface is screwed, I don't know if it doesn't like Firefox or something, but I had to change browsers so I stopped getting the "we cannot complete your request at this time, please try again later" message.

I'm not looking to get in early to this show. It's going to be fun to sit down, relax, have a beer, watch the band. If anyone hasn't been to Montreal before for a show I highly recommend the Restaurant Alpenhaus for dinner before you head over, best fondue, escargot and an assortment of delish swiss dishes, sausage, schnitzels, veal, lamb, etc.

picked up 4 tix GA, CDN$11.50/ticket convenience and they ding you $7 for mail charges too!! What the fuck?

Works out to CDN$67/ticket for GA. Oh well.

Just got back from the Bell Center. I arrived there at around 7:15 this morning. There was already a line but mostly of Depeche Mode fans. Waited until 10 in -15 weather and finally got my tix!!!!!!!!!

I asked the vendor if it was listed where this show was going to be held and he had no clue either.

I spoke with GEG's agent and it's definitely Parc Jean-Drapeau, specifically on Isle Sainte-Helene. That's the island that the metro station is on.

The race track is on Notre Dame island which means you have to cross the bridge when you come out of the metro. For the concert it's practically right outside the metro station.

You can see the open grass area in this satellite pic which is right behind the Metro station:

(Click on satellite if it doesn't show it)

Are you sure because The Parterre of Île Sainte-Hélène is the one that has a capacity of 70 000?

I'm still thinking it's the The plaine des Jeux which is for 30 000. But I am not sure if that one is on Notre-Dame or Ste-Hélène island.

100% positive that it's on Ste-Hélène and that looks like the only possible spot doesn't it?
The other spot would be close to the start/finish of the Gilles Villenueve Circuit which is on the other island.

Well according to Park Jean-Drapeau's official website The plaine des Jeux is also located on Île Ste-Hélène (that one holds 30 000). So it could also be held there no?

If you look at the satellite link, the plaine des Jeux is the region that I presumed it would be at. I presumed that was what you were talking about when you mentioned Parterre, but on the Parc's website I see the detailed map shows the Parterre is the dusty looking area to the south of the metro.

Either way all I was saying is that it's not on Notre Dame, so you don't need to cross the bridge as you would if you were familiar with the F1 race.

Both areas you've mentioned are literally a 2 minute walk from the station, so no-one is going to have trouble figuring out which one it is!

I would park somewhere close to the Metro line and take the Metro to Jean-Drapeau. It's likely a lot easier to get in and out that way. I would look for parking close to Station Berri-UQAM‎ and then Parc Jean-Drapeau is one stop on the yellow line (Longeuil)

The ticketing office who normally only look after the Bell Centre tickets said it's on Ste Helene, not Notre-Dame.

I had mentioned that I thought it was at the circuit earlier, maybe that's what you read? I presumed it was at the grassy area close to the start/finish line, but it appears that it's either at one of the two locations already mentioned at Helene.

Le Nouvel Hotel, downtown Montreal. It's $139/night for 2 QUEEN beds in a room, no extra person charge when booked through their website.
    http://www.lenouvelhotel.com/montrea...town_hotel.htm
It's a stone's throw from Guy-Concordia metro and 2 minutes walk from one of the best restaurants in Montreal, Alpenhaus, at the corner of Ste. Marc and Ste. Catherine - a big favourite of Schumacher and Alonso.
