Having the Almanac Cerise sour blond. Very good, not as much as the strawberry

If you're driving from SF be sure to stop by Lagunitas in Petaluma on the way!
Solid idea there too. Might actually do Rosso thanks! We are actually staying in Santa Rosa Sun-Wed so I'm sure a trip to Lagunitas will happen as well. Need to try this sucks that I hear so much about, assuming they have some?

If you have time you really should go to Lagunitas. It's a short, easy drive. Go ahead and go with their full board sampler too. And they did have sucks a few weeks ago when I was there

Just had the latest Stone Enjoy By 9.20.14 and it left a lot to be desired. The last one was better with 2.14.14 still being the best of the year. Wish Stone would kind of pull back on releasing these, it feels like they're becoming just another line of beer.

Thinking about hitting up Alpine on the way down to Chula Vista for the 9/5 show, that way I can have some quality brews for the tailgate on Friday and then Irvine on Saturday.

    Hey... anyone remember the MBB????

Yeah, I'm an asshole and hadn't sent it yet due to an extremely busy few weeks. It is going out tomorrow. We probably all know where it's going by now and my DEEPEST APOLOGIES for it being so long. It got to me at the worst possible time.

Dos osos has a 92 on BA...I'd say that's an understatement. If this was a FFF beer, it'd be 96.

Alpine is well worth it. Quick tip - they only allow purchase of 3 bombers each and and are usually out of at least one of the "big 3" (nelson, PH, duet) so it's well worth it to stop at the 3 or 4 liquor stores on that main drag between Alpine and the 8. Ask the person at the counter if you don't see any on the shelf and they'll likely grab some from the back. I doubled my haul that way.

    EDIT: Also, this:

The King Sue frenzy was just silly yesterday and today. Hopefully they are making more...lots more. Didn't stand a chance to get any.

that doesn't surprise me....I had it a few times at Dark Lord Day and it was great for sure. TG already gets a ton of hype for their pale ales and IPA's.....so it's not shocking that this release is insane. Well deserved though, their stuff is great....I'm just glad I'm not at the point where I have to have those kind of releases. I'm perfectly fine snagging a bomber of APW off the shelf....

I didn't a even make an attempt this time. I saw the tweets that the stores in Madison were sold out by 9:20am. Could have drove 3 hours to the brewery but refrained. Scream is tasting amazing lately so that will hold me over. I am starting to think a wee bit more rational, let's see how that goes on Black Friday :/

this round of the MBB has definitely taken a longer time than previous versions. Makes me feel like we should probably just go ahead and start a new round. This one has taken like 5 months

I had my first fantasy draft last night and enjoyed several Racer 5's. It's a good beer if you can get it fresh like we had last night. The problem is all the bottles Colorado seems to get are already old by the time they hit the shelves so I don't drink much of it.

I kinda like the theme approach - cans were fun plus sending glassware and swag is awesome.

I thought the theme added an interesting element.

So ideas for themes? Here's a few:

    Sours
    Non-USA
    Cellarable beers
    Stouts & Porters
    Wood/Barrel Aged
    Bombers only

this could be anything funky, aged, complex, unique styles.....this leaves it a bit open to interpretation....feel free to add to that idea.
