Now, regarding your performance, I don't know if grace notes are getting lost in translation, the V-drums not reacting well or if you've got an issue with evenness of sound/quality between hands but be mindful of that. As you were trying to go the sextuplets around the toms they were rather choppy.
Personally, too much crashy and sloshy hi-hat for me. If they're building a jam, you should be too. Different pieces of your kit provide tension and release. Also, just because there is space doesn't mean you need to fill it. I think the business caused some timing issues to occur, honestly.
Edit: (Actually, I just took time to watch The Stone. Definitely an issue of desired complexity and ability being at two different levels. Some good ideas but lacked execution. Be mindful of time and quality of what you're playing)
Remember, any tension in your hands (including curled pinkies) will translate to tension that makes it difficult for you to play.
