The four major theater chains in the US announced that they would not be showing the movie in their theaters. Even if Sony wanted to say "fuck the terrorists", you need theaters if you're going to release a movie.

Yeah, no theater wants to play this game.

They could announce which theaters have it like two hours beforehand. By the time Kim Jung Un woke up the movie would be over.

Bit intense, but ok. I didn't say that's really how I feel about it. But I can see how others may view the situation. We live in a time in which people go to the movies and shoot up the theater, kids are killing each other in schools and terrorists make threats, and act on them across the world. When something bad happens people want answers and complain about what should have been done to prevent an incident, or what could have been done. As silly as this threat may sound it's a threat none the less, and they chose to prevent a possible incident from happening. Just making a point of how it can be a lose lose battle in some situations. People want protection from harm, but at what cost?

Just siting a different point of view that's all. I for one would have gone and seen this movie in the theater and was actually planning to. I don't think the threat was legitimate, but it still raises some interesting points that's all.
