You're spot on. Similar interests = friendliness
It does not equal chemistry.
Big fuck up there.

Exactly! That's the biggest problem. You get matched with people who would probably make great friends. The theory being that great friends make great partners but it doesn't necessarily work that way.

Got here forty minutes early and was still the last in line and the girl I'm sitting in the waiting room with is hands down the most annoying girl in our program and won't shut up. This is torture trying to be cordial with her nonsense.

Funny story (at least to me). I received this Facebook message today from a girl that I've never been able to recall how I know. We went to the same college, but we were different years and I can not pin where I met her for some reason. I don't take Facebook too seriously, so I just left her as a friend despite not her not being an acquaintance in my mind.

Anyways, she messages me and says that a friend of hers reminded her of the one time I had met her and they had a good laugh about it. I am totally clueless as to what she is speaking of and we have not talked ever. So I play dumb, ask how we know one another, I cannot recall. So she proceeds to tell me and I am reminded that she was part of a ridiculous drunk night I had many years ago. I left my friends birthday party (very drunk) and was simply walking home in north philly. At Temple, it's rather common to just go into houses where parties are going on regardless if you know the people or not. I only preface with this because what I did will be seen as rather creepy otherwise. So I'm walking home, and I see people walking out of this house, they leave the door wide open, and there is music playing. So I just walked in to the house thinking it's a party. Well what I see is the aftermath of a party, the kitchen is a mess, the house is rather empty, and this cat just runs up to me and I begin to play with this cat. All of a sudden I am approached by this hot girl who lives there, asking what I was doing (not in a hostile way, just laughing that she found me playing with their cat). Next thing I know we are on her bed making out. Well, I realize while we are making out that I completely forgot this girls name already. Well, just to make this quick I forgot her name 3 times and by the third time I got kicked out for being an "asshole". Anyways, she friend requested me the next day and I just never got back in touch with her. Completely forgot it was her that night. Damn do I miss those kinds of nights.
    Nice

I've forgotten names, but if I made it that far I'd be sure to just use pronouns and not ask again.

This subdivision I run through sometimes has this one house where an adult, guy's gotta be upper 30s or early 40s, is just always out there playing with an RC helicopter or remote controlled car.

It's really weird. Because he's just in a shirt and tie sometimes, like he just got back from work and is a normal dad. But the way he's playing with these toys makes you think he might be mentally handicapped.

You need to also realize that I'm really not sure he is looking for anything substantially long term with someone based on that lifestyle. And if he found that, how long would it take for him to miss what he has going on now? There are pros and cons to everything. I'm sure what he posts on here sounds awesome, and some of those stories are great, but eventually it's just fluff if it never actually has a means to and end. Just my take, though. In college I lived a life extremely similar to his because I could. It got old very fast. Sure, the self validation was great because of all the girls I was meeting and banging, but at some point it becomes about more than that.

This is in no way meant to bash Troy, who am I to judge him. Just isn't for me.
Yeah this pretty much. Seems to be a master at getting a girl interested up to a point of 3 dates in. Then girls either get wise to his BS (aka he's going on like he's interested but is actually out with other girls every night, always looking for something better), or he gets bored with them.

Yeah, I could never do the "keep each girl at arm's length, pretend I might be interested in a relationship, and get laid by each of them while I keep finding more girls to be happy about for a max of two to three weeks" game.

Exactly. Actually as soon as I started seeing someone else, I made it a total of like 4 days before I broke it off. Turns out that I made the correct decision too as the one I broke it off with was crazy, call me from jail girl.
