only musical i ever saw was Avenue Q and i loved it. it was hilarious. for those who are unfamiliar with it, Avenue Q is basically Sesame Street on crack. "cookie monster" sings a song about how the internet was made for porn.

Yes!! Greatness...I still think it's better than Book of Mormon.

But for the poll, my absolute favorite has to be Rent.

I haven't seen a ton, but for me it would be Chicago.

I also performed in Chicago my Sophomore year in High School and it fucking kicked ass, so I'm partial to that.

Starlight Express, saw it in London, UK and it was brill.

    Quote:
Starlight Express had one of the most spectacular stage sets ever created. As well as the steeply-banked central arena, there were swooping race tracks that extended into and around the theatre's auditorium. One of the set's most dramatic elements was the six-tonne steel bridge. During the show's high-speed races, the bridge lifted and tilted to connect the various levels of the set. This means the actors started racing on a track in the stalls and end up in the dress circle.

Brigadoon could win for most creative plot. When I saw it as a kid it blew my mind.

I had an unhealthy obsession with Rent when I was in 11th and 12th grade. I would try to go to as many performances as humanly possible and I would only listen to the Rent soundtrack in my car.

At some point in 12th grade, that unhealthy Rent obsession turned into an unhealthy DMB obsession. Now that has turned into an unhealthy masturbation and prescription pill obsession.

    I'm very imbalanced.

Never seen a Musical on Broadway. Most of the musicals I've seen were on film. Wizard of Oz is one of my favorites along with The Music Man. Before I die, I want to see Phantom of the Opera on stage. I've heard it's fantastic. The few musicals I did see were back in High School and put on by the High School drama department. For a high school musical, they were pretty well done.

There's going to be a new Rent tour celebrating its 20th anniversay.

    http://playbill.com/news/article/new...versary-382303

Can't imagine it will have the original cast, but with it being the 20th anniversary, maybe it will with some members? I'm excited nonetheless.

    Favorite Musical

I'm kicking myself I didn't see Hamilton when I had the chance. Since doing a live song at the Grammys and winning a Grammy, sold out through the end of the year. Unreal

I will share my sentiment from the front page though. Rent is still my favorite

Hamilton was sold out way before it was on the Grammys, right?

The cutaway joke to Colbert during the broadcast was that he couldn't get a ticket until 2018.
