Mexico: How many Repeats?

Nah, few covers I reckon. I'm going with AATW, maybe one more cover, 1-3 repeats (of newer songs), and most of the rest being songs from last year. I think there will be one or two that he'll "bust out", and Tim will play 4-5 of his own songs

went with the 6-10 option. But I do think it will be on the low end of that, probably 6. Really curious to see what sort of songs he may "dust off" for this 3 night stand

I've actually been hoping that DT pops up this weekend.

Like Mike said a few posts up, I'm really just anxious to see what they 'dust off'.

Dave should come to each of their rooms and play a private song for what people paid for this trip.

I'm sure some of the people over at the fAM are trying to pull something like this... People already stalk Dave around the hotels these guys stay at for a normal tour stop.

Wonder how far off site Dave will have to stay for these shows

Yea, I'm sure he's miles and miles away and will helicopter in or something.

Dave Matthews will play whatever the fuck he wants. He may even do repeats within the same set! Just kidding.

I think there will be a valid attempt much like the Gorge to have a very wide variety of songs. But Dave and Tim don't do a handful of songs that the band does, so it eliminates several go to songs for 3 night stand. Songs like Seven, Shake Me, Belly Belly Nice, Rapunzel until just last month, etc...

Hoping this means they are working on bringing out some new material, or some of those songs that haven't been played acoustic yet or given a fair shot.

But ya, ultimately I think Samurai Cop, Mercy, VNITR, DOOTHS will probably get multiple plays. And maybe the Some Devil material Stay or Leave, Oh, Save Me etc..

D&T have actually played Seven and SMLAM but it's been years. BBN would be interesting.

There were 6 repeats at NOLA 2014. I say 6-10.

But in Oakland there weren't any, so who knows.

picking up on a few other comments, these are the only way there are no repeats night to night to night:

Dave repeats 3 or 4 songs in the set each night.
Tim gets to play 4 or 5 songs each night
cover city

I think Tim will play 2-3 songs each night plus a few extra covers.


If any songs get repeated I would be pretty pissed if I spent that kind of money on that trip.

They played 22 and 27 songs in Texas. So say, 25 average making 75 songs.

2 Tim songs per night. That leaves 69. DMB played 88 different songs last summer. Sure, there are few DMB songs that D&T don't play but I think that's a wash with the few D&T songs they don't really play full band.


There's no need to repeat any songs.

ok, last attempt at repeat humor: I know D&T normally have minimal stage props, but I hear there will be a wall down the middle of the stage. Dave will stand on the other side of the wall for all repeats.

Let's say 25 song avg. Tim plays two each night. Leaves 69 songs. Maybe wishful thinking but made a list of songs and feel there really are 69 songs (including some covers) that are "realistic" that would not lead to repeats. And doesnt include anything far fetched like Halloween, Last Stop, Let You Down (even though I am hoping to hear this) etc.
