Lillywhite was just having fun during the radio show. It sounded to me like he was just joking around, telling stories, etc. None of it was mean-spirited, hateful, spiteful, or prickish.
And, this is just speculation, but I don't think Dave or the band would care if we get to hear MacHead and how it happens. In all likelihood, he's forgotten about the song entirely.
