I've gotten back to blogging my photos.. having a child puts a damper on your hobbies for awhile, so I've been back at it now that he's older. I'm just a hobbyist, but it's fun to share and display your work.
One thing that keeps bugging me is just figuring out composition better in the frame. Sometimes there just isn't time to contemplate what you're shooting, and I suppose it needs to become innate, but for now I need to think more consciously about it. Just need a little patience.
However, this weekend was pretty fun, I was digging out a storage bin with old photos from film. I was looking for a specific picture of a family member that passed away some years ago, but found a lot of other old stuff. I got away from photography for a number of years because I always seemed to end up disappointed when I'd get my photos back from the printer. I just always felt like I wasn't capturing what I was trying to. Well.. a few years removed and then revisiting will cure all that. I found some cool shots, so I'm going back, scanning photos I like, and if the scan looks good enough, I'll post them. Things always look better when you have a little time to look at them objectively. Anybody else experience this?
