What's alarming about this is how idiotic and incompetent everyone was from the White House down to the hospital. First, we have this idiot from Liberia who never should have had the opportunity to land here in the US given the situation there. Then we have the hospital who mishandled it and somehow 2 nurses with little understanding of basic universal precautions not only got exposed, but one was able to fly on planes while contagious? I mean, what the fuck people? Are our leaders that stupid? Did the CDC not think to, I dunno, quarantine the shit outta these people who were exposed? And another got on a cruise ship? This was handled so sloppily. Sloppy and incompetent, what we've come to expect from our government. We know for a fact that we are all screwed if a deadly and contagious airborne virus outbreak occurs here. Those we put in charge won't have a clue what to do or they'll do it too late. This should be a wake up call, even if it ends with 2 people, there were too many things that went wrong, and it does not bode well for future events of this nature.

She shouldn't have went on the plane, but she wasn't showing symptoms so she wasn't contagious. I agree it's been mishandled though.

Seriously. What this outbreak in the US has pointed out is this:

If you get ebola, get treated in the USA. You'll probably live.

If you've been exposed to ebola, nothing's going to stop you from being a selfish reckless asshole.

Reports are that he'd been feeling sluggish for a few days. He had a fever of 103 this morning. He had "physical contact" with his girlfriend as recently as today (i.e. he came in her mouth).

On the first page I said this was being blown out of proportion and you basically disagreed.
