I'm not even sure they deliver cases anywhere on Fridays.

If you're going up route 7, might as well stop at Otter Creek as well. Have a good trip!
Thought they used to do more on Friday... That's a bummer.

    underrated post....Omnipollo absolutely kills it.

Nice. We ended up getting hit with the rain this morning so no golf. We're not as hard core as you.

I actually enjoy golfing in the rain (obviously to a certain extent). For whatever reason, some of my best rounds have been on soggy courses. Definitely helps to keep the ball on the green with longer approach shots.

Grabbed a Modern Times Accumulated Knowledge. Really really enjoyable! I'd highly recommend picking it up if you're a fan of slick, juicy, hoppy, unfiltered IPA's. -> https://www.beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/31987/238558/

Also got to try the 11.5 Degree Plato IPA from Sierra Nevada. Not my favorite and as always, it carries the SN Hop signature. Not as fruity/citrusy as I expected it to be. Nice, but not something I'd necessarily reach for again. https://www.beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/140/225354/

Headed to Fieldwork Brewing in Berkeley this weekend to get some Crowlers for the Dead & Company show on Saturday! If you live in the bay area and haven't been there, check them out! Their selection is broad, they're always rotating in new beers, and you can never go wrong with fresh hop pales & IPA's of all varieties.

I'm not sure what you're into but I think we can get you covered.

The highlights of readily available beers IMO will be Crooked Stave, Melvin, and Odell. Those are probably in order from least economic to more reasonable. Odell has 12pk cans now which are the way to go IMO. Odd13 is money and is canning beers that compare to the best around the country but nobody knows who they are. Station 26 is another excellent option, check out their single hop series (green boxes).

You'll find a lot of the best offerings are going to be at the breweries themselves or at beer bars and aren't packaged. If you need recommendations on where to go let me know. Where are you living?

Haha, I will probably buy one or two just to have them for the weekends, but under normal circumstances would probably buy more. Gotta try to have a little more self-control these next few months.

99 Bottles, great little spot near me. There's one in Norwalk, too, right over the bridge from SoNo in that little complex on the left across from Vet's Park.

You see Local SoNo is doing a Tapout for Grey Sail on 9/1? Gonna try to grab a growler of Captain's Daughter if I can.

If you need to lose weight fast, and love bacon, try ketosis. After the first 7-10 days, you'll be able to do some intermittent fasting for 16-18 hours at a time, no problem. Fat melts off.

Actually, you could probably drink for another 2-3 weeks, then start keto.

    whole lotta win right there

Agreed. I think Odell makes the best all-around beers that are readily available in Colorado.

Avery makes good limited releases in the gold and red foil but I think there regular lineup brings the meh. Great Divide as well.

I have absolutely no idea what ketosis is but will look into it.

First and foremost, there are a lot of "Keto" supplements available now...no need to buy any. All you need is a tub of coconut oil and some fatty cuts of meat. I won't bog down this thread with too many details, but if you look into it and have any questions - feel free to message me. I'm not peddling anything here, I've just tried it and love the results and how I feel on the diet. Here's a few links:

When I see avery gold label, I automatically buy it now. I forget the name, but they have a sour aged in bourbon barrels with cherries added that blew my mind. Not to mention their gold foil stouts!

Agreed on everything here. Odell IPA is the best out of state IPA we've got access to here. Myrcenary is really good too, and Mountain Standard and Runoff Red are two of the better examples of their respective styles.

I had a bottle of Prairie Apple Brandy Noir last night and man was it delicious. I was a little weary that the apple brandy barrel would be overwhelmingly sweet, but it really melded well with the chocolate, coffee and vanilla flavors. I'm definitely going to try and find a few more bottles to age.

blue collar and iron city as the 2 main reasons...they must not be talking about craft beer. They didn't even mention Tired Hands in Philly at 5th, which is trading for Huna, Maine, HF, etc.

    No NE representation either?

I dont think it was based off of craft beer. More about bars and breweries per capita.

Pittsburgh has a great craft beer scene though. Iron City so fucking awful, same with rolling rock.

Not exactly beer but the fiancee and I are thinking of getting a keg of mead for our wedding, we know the guy who owns a meadery in Pgh and he can cut us a deal.

If you guys have somewhere to get mead around you, do it. The stuff is phenomenal, and I dont like wine at all.

I travel to Pittsburgh a lot for work....the fact I can only buy beer 2 sixers at a time is ridiculous.

Is it really? They were a few towns away when I was down that way for law school at Nova. I liked their stuff but never thought it was in that upper echelon. Maybe they've improved in the past three years since I've been.
