I had a class with Evan Turner his freshman year when he wasn't playing at all. He would tell me that he was so bummed Illinois didn't offer him and that he would have much preferred to have gone there. He was even happy when they beat us that year

I had a class with him (and half of the entire team) that same year too. My first class at OSU. Art Ed 161 (I think the number is right?).


If you've read Titus' book, sounds like he was quite the prick when he first got there.

I read that in Mark's book. He was always super nice to me though. I used to grab lunch with him at market place. I knew he was on the team but I had no clue that he'd turn out to be a lottery pick in the NBA wish I had kept in better touch

All the sportswriter talk of "oh, this is going to be such a hard ticket" is pretty much horseshit. Can't give mine away for face value. That's what happens when there are 70,000 seats.

Yeah, assuming that the worst case scenario would be that I'd be able to sell my FF tix for a nice little profit was pretty dumb in hindsight. Even though MSU isn't playing, I'm still psyched to be going. First time at any kind of championship event and also first time in NOLA. Should be a fun weekend.

The issue with the guards is that the last two haven't stayed to develop.

I don't care what anyone says. The Plumless were a HUGE failure on Duke's part. They didn't get worse in reality but in terms of expecations, they got worse and worse each year. I don't even know which is which and what year they are anymore. I'm literally done with them.

I'm not going to defend Wojo, but even if he is a bad big man's coach, players can improve on their own. The Plumlees did not, imo.

I think so. I really hope he doesn't, but that kinda feels selfish just cause he's my favorite player. All the reasons for leaving are there - he already broke a major record, all the guys he'd pass to are leaving, his injury only puts him at more risk, and everyone's seen his value this season.
