Re: New York vs. Chicago Style Pizza

The problem with threads like this is that people think their opinion is equal to others and it's not. For example, if you order a hamburger cooked past medium rare, your opinion on a "good" burger is immediately null and void because you literally have no idea what a good burger actually is.

Medium rare is the farthest anybody should go. Rare-medium rare is where it's at.

Went with Pepe's white clam and white spinach mushroom and Gorgonzola. We're hella good. Better than NYC but way inferior to deep dish

Jersey Guys Pizza and Taste of New York Pizza in Des Moines are amazing. Both opened by guys who moved here from their respective states, the guy who opened Taste of New York is a retired cop from Brooklyn.

I think I voted Chicago pizza years ago...but my vote has now changed to New York style. So good.

Love Gino's East crust. Love regular crust too, but I like the change of pace sometimes.

Voted NY Style, it's my first preference, but I like a good deep dish now and then.

For NY Style, the best I've had was at Bleeker Street Pizza near Greenwich Village. Favorite deep dish is Lou Malnati's; but I've explored far less of this type

Tough but voted NY style because thats what I grew up on.

Traveling to chicago and eating real deep dish definitely is delicious but NY style still edges it out.
