Three shows at the Greek to one Bay Area show sure is a change. And this thread barely reaching 5 pages when the show is 2 days away speaks volumes of how much we care. This is the first time in 19 years I am not excited to see DMB. The two sets thing has killed this band. I really hope this is the final year they do this. I miss that build up of anticipation to the band opening with a true opener. A Dave solo opener just doesn't do it for me. Especially when he has a "summer 2002 first song in the encore" repertoire to choose from.

This is the least I've followed setlists. I truly do not know which songs are in heavy rotation and what's rare. I've listened to each of the new songs one time and have no desire to listen to any of them again. This is just wrong. I want to be excited, but it's getting difficult.

And us bay area folks always get the post-Gorge shows where the band starts phoning in these last few shows. And with Gorge being a huge disappointment this year, I'm not sure what that means for Tahoe, Shoreline, Irvine, and Arizona.

I want to be proven wrong in my lack of enthusiasm. Come on DMB!

Doing research on him look likes he's a Jazz and Post-Bop musician. If they'll let him Jam, what songs can incorporate a Jazz/ Post-Bop jam style?

Let's get pumped! I am sooooo excited to be flying over from Hawaii to see The boys at Shoreline! My first DMB concerts were last year at the Greek which was soooo fun! Love The DMB fans! They are so cool and chill, talking about their 20th or 40th show. Hell, I'm just happy I can make one a year now that we are making it an annual thing. I have to say that I love the 2 sets: more Dave plus love hearing the acoustical set before the huge jammin electric set. Last year there was the earthquake. Any thoughts since this show will be on 9/11?

I've seen two shows on/near 9/11 since 9/11 and Fonz played the national anthem both times as an intro to Watchtower.

DMB shows an astonishing lack of care/awareness, but I bet they do something to mark the anniversary.

Another possibility is that they'll play Everyday or When the World Ends and Dave will tell the story about how they had to cancel WTWE and release Everyday as a single instead because of 9/11.

No, in the bigger picture, like the way the Caravans were billed as an event celebrating the band's 20th anniversary. I don't think Dave so much as mentioned it once.

Parking is plentiful and free. Depending on how far away you're coming from, I would allow lots of time to get there since we're talking Bay Area rush hour traffic on a Friday night.

YES! Definitely allow extra time. For popular concerts Shoreline and Amphitheater become a parking lot.

By chance, did they kick you out for a soundcheck? Was the stage being set up with the lighting rig?

I left the venue at approximately 5:30PM, but given what was going on, I can't imagine that the crew was able to get in there until at least 10PM.
