true...

maybe in the later season, but i watched seasons 1-3 marathon style and i loved it...after that, yes, it become redundant

Agree about S1. In fact, I was like this is the ONLY way to watch this show.

I got into the middle of three and couldn't take it anymore.

If anyone has DirecTV, Audience channel plays this show in 4 hour blocks. It's pretty cool. My only complaint is, I swear to God, I always catch the same 5:00 - 9:00 block. SO annoying.

I was sick around New Years, so I spent that whole weekend watching 24 on DirecTV. It was awesome.

Idk, I tend to disagree at least with the first few seasons. I remember I'd watch 7-8 episodes at a time and loved it.

Recommend only watching 24 when you have all episodes available - doesnt work as well when it is a week by week serial

Totes down with this. This show was a huge bonding moment for me and my dad. Send the series out with an awesome and concise bang.

    Re: 24 to return?

    update from EW:

    http://insidetv.ew.com/2013/05/10/24-return-episodes/

UPDATED: With Kiefer Sutherland and Fox plotting the return of Jack Bauer, we’re hearing some additional details about the plan.
You already figured this out, but now we can say with certainty: Touch isn’t coming back for a third season. The mystical drama was shifted to Friday nights this season where it struggled in the ratings. Even without a 24 revival, it was considered pretty much dead in the water.
For 24 miniseries/limited series, we’re hearing Fox is actually currently looking at a 13 12-episode order for the show. For a cable series, that’s pretty much a full season (heck, for HBO’s Game of Thrones, it’s more than a full season). So that would be a pretty significant potential order to bring back Bauer.
Fox had no comment. Hopefully there will be clarity at the network’s upfront presentation Monday.

Yes, it sounds like a 12-episode run has been confirmed.

    http://insidetv.ew.com/2013/05/13/of...urns-may-2014/

    Quote:
The network will air 12 episodes of 24: Live Another Day as part of its new directive to air event programming in the summer as a way to tie together the regular seasons.

The 24 producers “always had the idea of maybe someday doing feature films, but as got into it they all agreed 24 being compressed in two hours is not 24,” Fox Entertainment Chairman Kevin Reilly told reporters today. “A light bulb went off with (former Executive Producer) Howard Gordon. The spine of the 24 episodes is about 12 hours. Those were big events that occurred and little connective tissue in between.”

Unlike what happened in the regular series — where each episode represented an hour in Bauer’s action-packed life — the new version will jump around during the day, Reilly explained.

Though Reilly says he doesn’t envision 24 becoming a regular series, he won’t rule out its “franchise-ability.”
