This announcement totally turned my day around. Was feeling lazy and tired! Now I'm working away listening to DMB as happy as can be! Amazing what one small change in your day does.

    Undecided.

Its on a Friday, which makes the drive back to Buffalo after the show much more tolerable, knowing I can sleep the next day.

Just dont know though at this point. Sure ill talk myself into it though.

I see lowest ticket price is $60ish .. obviously the higher/farther seats - never been to ACC so curious if it would be disastrous to sit there, as opposed to lower down (considering they always have screens to look at).. ?

The sound, however, is HORRIBLE. Second worst. Fucking. Venue. Ever. #1 is the HSBC in Buffalo, but I've heard that since it became the First Niagara (?) they've tossed a few million $ at the accoustics, so maybe the ACC is now the official winner of that dubious distinction.

I'd prefer Copps in Hamilton. Now that's a pretty awesome arena for sound and sight.

I expect sound will be absolutely dreadful, it's built for Hockey and Basketball.

I've seen loads of Basketball games there and even the nose bleed seats aren't that far away. That being said, DMB will be at one end whereas basketball moves up and down.

i've attached a pretty awful picture from a pretty awful Raptors game (there are many.) This was taken on my ipod touch so no zoom and from about the 6th to last row in the 305 section.

there is some obstructed seats and what not....the sound is NOT GOOD. I was 9 rows back VIP for Coldplay and the sound was god awful. So 103.00 isn't too bad i guess.

Last year PJ played 2 Toronto shows and 1 Copps within 5 days I believe. Copps was sooo much better sound-wise.

I saw Mumford and Sons at Copps and was blown away by how much better the sound was there.

HATE the ACC for concerts. Toronto/Ontario politician fucktards are talking about tearing down the Molson Amphitheater (a brilliant venue) and replacing it with an all seasons venue. We have a TON in Toronto and they all SUCK!!!

I dont remember the sound being bad in 2005. I was sitting side stage, relatively close in the lower bowl. Dont remember a problem.

Thinking about requesting cheaper tickets though possibly on the far end. Get the whole presentation of the screens, etc... That was the one thing i missed in 05.

They need to rebuild the original Ontario Place Forum with the revolving stage.

    Re: *Official Toronto/ACC Thread - 12/07/2012*

When you're in line with a speaker column on the floor or within the platinums/golds a few sections within the stage the sound is fine. Actually two weeks ago at Peter Gabriel from the 10th row I couldn't believe how great the sound was, is this REALLY the Air Canada Centre? There were however lots of black curtains thrown up along the side and below the roof and I'm sure this added to helping the acoustics as well as of course the fact that they didn't crank the living shit out of their PA system like DMB will do.

If you're contemplating sitting nosebleeds in blues, purples or greens get ready for crappy sound with massive amounts of reverb everywhere. If you can score floor seats or the first section or two from the stage within the first 20 rows you'll be okay.

MolAmp of course has far superior sound being an outdoor venue. That's the only bad thing about Winter Tours...it's always going to have subpar sound to summer tour venues.

Anyway, I'm in. Beers at Biermarket before the show? Or maybe even a table at Real Sports? The drinks there are as expensive as fuck, but it's very convenient to ACC. They have a 2-storey HD screen as well in case there's a...oh, never mind.

Yes. Well they'll take the stage 8:20-8:40 and play until 11ish. Opener for TO is Jimmy Cliff and he'll be starting around 7pm.

Jimmy Cliff Joins Dave Matthews Band at China Care Foundation Benefit

Last Friday, Dave Matthews Band headlined a club-size benefit for The China Care Foundation in Greenwich, CT. The China Care Foundation was founded by area-resident Matt Dalio to save the lives of Chinese orphans and to bring young Americans in contact with Chinese culture and children in need. The members of Dave Matthews Band offered an 18-song set that relied heavily on hits like “Ants Marching,” “Funny the Way It Is,” “Crash (Into Me)” and “Stay.” Approximately 90-minutes into Dave Matthews Band’s set, Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee Jimmy Cliff joined the group onstage for his songs “Many River to Cross” and “The Harder They Come.” The performance marked the first time Cliff has sat in with Dave Matthews Band.
    That would be sick!
