Have not made it through Luke Cage...don't think I even want to attempt Iron Fist.

Re: Marvel Cinematic Universe Fandom (MCUc)

I've enjoyed both seasons of Daredevil thoroughly. as mentioned before, Jessica Jones started pretty strong and then lost my interest after about 6 or so episodes. It felt like they climaxed at episode 6 or 7 and then they didn't know what to do so they just dragged out the story some more. Which in turn took what was an interesting villain and turned him into a whiny baby that had mommy and daddy issues. Brutal. That then led me to skipping out on Luke Cage. I watched one episode of Iron Fist and it was alright, but I haven't had the time to watch anymore. It's sad that I've seen complaints of the CW DC shows being to long at 22 episodes and now 13 episode shows is too much. I think if there's one thing Marvel has definitely done wrong its that they jumped too quick on the Netflix shows. Daredevil was so successful that it seems they rushed the other ones just to get to the Defenders. Kind of how I felt about Cap 1 and Thor 1 before The Avengers.

I think we've become over saturated in many ways. Not just superhero shows, but shows in general. Every other week or so I'm hearing of some new show I need to check out. It's just too much to keep up with anymore and it's shrinking our attention spans.

DD S1 was good. Punisher stuff in DD S2 was great but everything other than Punisher was lame. Haven't watched the other netflix stuff.

I've read some of those books. They're interesting characters, but I'm surprised they got picked for a TV show. I'll watch it, because I'm a geek and I'll watch anything comic related.

To make matters worse, he was originally included in the GotG 2 script before being cut out.

I'm enjoying it. I love alternate dimension type stuff though, that was one of my favorite parts of Fringe, and I liked the "sideways universe" stuff that Lost did.

Seems like the consensus for GoTG Vol 2 is that it is fun and enjoyable but basically fails to live up to the first....Still a well reviewed movie (and certified Fresh)...excited to see it in IMAX on Thursday night.

    I didn't love GotG 2.

IMO it felt like they were trying to answer lingering questions and set up vol 3 rather than just make another episode it that makes sense. It felt like the first 1.5 hr had a Rogue One lack of cohesion to it.

I think my biggest problem with the movie was everything people loved about the first one they took to excess in this one. It's like they focused way too much on Drax, tried too hard to make music playing obvious and tried too hard to make it funny.

Also, Marvel, seriously, it's time to tone down the "comedy." So much cringe. That said, there was one line by Yondu about a particular Ms. Poppins that had me Lol-ing.

This and when Kraglin gave Star-Lord the Zune had me . Drax started off strong and had his moments here and there. Overall I thought it was just "meh". For the first 45 or so minutes I felt like nothing had been established and I really didn't know what they were trying to accomplish.

I knew it! I knew they'd go in that direction. I hate when movies do that. One or two characters get a rise out of people in the first movie and so the writers and director decide to up their involvement in the sequel and it falls flat. Why? Because some characters are just better off as smaller roles. that's their character.

Wait, are you saying that Marvel is taking the comedic aspect of their movies too far? I never expected that as stated many times before, I like the Marvel movies, but the comedy is just ruining it for me. Every movie they make has more and more comedy. Keep things in the same vein as Winter Soldier and I'm totally in.
