? soooo if I stay for 3 days and take the shuttle from there at 12 bucks round trip per night.....that equals out to 99 bucks.....for the weekend.....3 nights in a hotel is cheaper then this? especially in Saratoga.....looking at easy 250 without a ride...

Ya there is a shuttle bus....ask about it when you pay at the front....it's like 12 bucks a night for the round trip.....they also have firewood for sale too.....The hardest part about the shuttle is remembering where you got dropped off at SPAC....cause that is where you get picked up from and you can easily get lost in SPAC especially after 2-3 or 10 beers.

Sounds like a horrible place. An actual campground has to be better.

yeah i drove last year, and walked around for like an hour trying to find my car.

I am pretty sure I either read on their facebook, or last year it was 12......don't quote me on that lol.....The first they had it in 2010 it was 10 bucks I know that much.....I hope we just get two nights equivalent to last yr's SPAC nights.....granted they didn't end up being very rare nights...just thought it was a great two nights......Warehouse last yr was unreal

Ya last year was one of the better ones since 08-09 I felt but personal opinion of course....the day were heading out there for LEE's post in here and let me know where your group is at.....we will get it going...if you can try and look at a layout of LEE's and get against the wood line or back corner by the vendors there....and yes there are vendors at the campground...a lot of times they have cover bands there as well.....I saw Big Eyed Fish there one yr....and there is a Ben and Jerry's/a couple grilling vendors some merchants and of course the smoke vendor lol.....

Well if you have 5 people at 100 a person lol. I can tell you that the "camp site" your staying on isnt worth 500$. Any other camp ground charges 30-50 a day so yeah its a rip off.

The shuttle is an absolutle joke. Completely unorganized its just a free for all. For that 500 you could of got a hotel room for the weekend

? I typically spend about 150 bucks for everything when I go to SPAC(sure per person that adds up)...not including tickets of course.....also the first yr they did shuttles in 2010 I would agree it was pretty unorganized....last two years I have had no problems....they have multiple shuttles and structured lines to get on and off...with everyone needing braclets to ride.....again all depends on what you prefer as far as camping

I'm still looking for a place to stay. I considered Lee's but then I know that I would hate it so much. I'll probably end up in a motel in Albany. Oh well.

Nothing against drinking, I just haven't found anything that tastes good. Unless it's one of the mixed fruity drinks that don't taste like alcohol. I could drink those all day, but then that would end so badly. Lee's probably wouldn't be too horrible as I usually stay up all hours of the night anyway. I'm taking it into consideration, but I don't know. I like the thought of being around other fans 24/7 though, that would be a blast.

You are able to sleep depending on location and neighbors there lol.....typically people won't bother you and you spend a lot of time with your group....if you venture to other sites people are normally friendly I have never had an issue with neighbors there in 6 yrs. You will see the "bros" lots of drunk people and typically hear loud music playing sometimes it's DMB sometimes it's not. The experience really depends on what you want to do. I would say don't leave valuables laying around unattended there as I have heard stories of stealing and had 1 issue over flip flops but that was it. I think my main gripe with the place is its shower facilities...I dont mind the porter potties but would like a shower lol.

Showers are always a nice thing to have! Although, when I was traveling through the deserts in the Southwest I would stop at little places and wash my hair in the sinks. I mean when you're in desert heat for 3-4 days, no showers, you gotta do something. Eeek!

Bringing my GF for her first SPAC weekend. Judging by this thread Lee's does not seem like her cup of tea... Any suggestions on a more peaceful/scenic campsite in the area? Shuttle is not required, but something on the cheaper side would be nice!

At this point in the game....a hotel. Morneau was booked full months ago, there are other campgrounds around but distance/price/crazyness from my point of view are unknown. If distance away from SPAC isn't an issue you should be able to just google campgrounds around the area and find a few.

We are staying at the Adirondack Adventure Resort campground, though id guess its booked full as we got one of the last reservations nearly 2 months ago. Worth a shot though I guess - only about 15 mins away.

Hi All-

Who was there this weekend? Wow! It was wet and sloppy! 5 inch mud tracks all over the place- this weekend was not for the faint of heart.

We had an awesome time- came with extra tarps and a 10x10 shelter- there were hard core campers all over the place. A few guys who set up by me went to sleep in their car because their tents got wet.

Had a great weekend- Lee's campground is definatly home of "the bros" but still makes for a great place to have a blast pre/post show.

Camped at Lee's in 2003. Never again. Watched bro's try and light a car on fire and just burnt their tent instead. Gone to Moreau ever since.

keg tosses. chairs being burned. digging moats around the fire. flip cup. vodka gummy bears. too much beer. good food. good friends. tons of rain.

probably won't camp there again, but it was hella fun nonetheless.
