I haven't liked Melo since Cuse, hated the Noah contract and have thought Rose is overrated/done since 2011... and you think I'm serious?

Is your "fact" not showing up on Tapatalk for me? I don't think anyone said anything about you. We're just making fun of Derrick Rose being a moron...

Remember when Shaq and Penny Hardaway thought they were good and would beat the Bulls again in '96, and the Bulls swept their ass 4-0 and Jordan destroyed them at every opportunity?

I can't understand why anyone would think the Lakers were an option other than the fact he went to UCLA and is from Cali. Trust me, as a guy that's watched his team linked to every FA because "omg it's NY" the only thing that attracts FAs is winning and the Lakers aren't doing that anytime soon.

Good for Russ. Gets his money, shows commitment to his team, sets the team up to make a splash next offseason too.

and gets him to exactly 10 years of service time at which point he can command 35% of the salary cap in a max deal

Exactly. Gets almost a 9 million raise this year, and still gets to do this. Great move by Russ and his agent. See him in Lakerland in 2018.

    Re: The NBA Thread

Royce asked Westbrook that specific question today (sup Royce) at his press conference about what kind of long-term commitment this is since this is only like a 1 year extension...Westbrook didn't explicitly answer it, but said that he wouldn't have done the extension unless OKC is where he wanted to be yadda yadda and that he did the contract this way b/c it affords him special financial opportunity (re-upping for the 10-year max).

I think a trade is still possible after locking him into this contract to increase trade value...but man, all the lip service today was about how he doesn't bullshit people and will tell you upfront if he wants to be there (subtweet KD). Reading his body language and his answers today, you'd think he was straight up saying he'd sign the 5 year deal today if it didn't cost him giving up extra money.

Anyone been able to get the 100% team on the "Build your own Dream Team" game on ESPN? The best I've been able to get so far is 94.5% with Lebron, Durant, Curry, Westbrook and Green. Can't find the 100% lineup.
