Just downloaded. Will check it out in the car today and on my way to Baltimore for Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers Sunday!

Interesting ending to this SUAD. Did they mean to break it down or did someone drop the ball?
Not an "If I Had It All" fan. It's such a mediocre song that lands at the bottom of the barrel for me. All they did was add lyrics from a shitty 80s song and play out the end longer, so I agree on it being overrated.

I've only listened to the tape of this, as I ordered this with the Live 25, so I probably won't get this until whenever that thing ships. But I remember the ending being pretty cool, but it was clearly unintentional. I'll be interested to hear how it sounds with a final mix.

A Dream So Real - meh. whatever. can't believe they opened with this. this and Falling Off the Roof are songs in search of being a song. two absolutely wasted spots on DMB Live 25. i don't care how rare they are.

Pantala > Rapunzel - quality. nice, slower tempo. excellent jam that Butch improves. a reference Rapunzel.

Everyday - wah wah. i am increasingly impressed by the sound of this release.

Loving Wings - wow. another benchmark performance! LeRoi is great, the I Dream of Jeannie interpol is awesome. i loved LW when it first came out. but being a rather simple ditty, i became a little restless with it, hitting skip the past few years. this rekindles the love. addresses the Trump presidency at the start.

Song That Jane Likes - i never thought i'd say this about modern-day DMB, but this might be played a tick too SLOW! good, but not spectacular. TSJL needs a little more energy than was put into this performance.

    Cornbread - slower. better.

    Eh Hee - whatever.

Crush - fucking beautiful. are we sure this isn't a 1999 show?!?

    Sister - whatever.

If I Had It All - absolutely gorgeous from start to finish. the Butch intro into Leroi gave me a creeper. the whole thing with the outro was shockingly good. i hadn't heard a version like this. wow. FAR better than the Folsom Field performance. definitely a (the?) highlight of the show.

Sweet Up and Down - i don't know... this song just keeps sliding down my like meter. just ends up being a lot of noise and Dave yelling incomprehensibly for no reason. interesting stop-time outro though.

Grey Street - not bad for a post-2002. the tempo is kept somewhat under control. standard.

Shotgun - our third soundboard Shotgun and it does not disappoint. pretty much all the 06 and 07 Shotguns were goddamn perfect. again, speed started to hurt the song in '09/'11/'12. it's almost as if they should stop hurrying thru the concert and just play the songs as they should be played. like this.

Dancing Nancies - for some reason, Boyd's a little soft on this one. as in volume. not sure what happened to the mix, he seemed to be nice and loud earlier in the show. it honestly is a let down. his solo is fantastic. but it sounds like he's standing behind the curtain.

SMTS>ASTB>TM - whatever. so tired of the SMTS/TM/WWYS trio.

Gravedigger - Dave solo. pretty standard.

Louisiana Bayou - been a while since i've given this song a spin. i enjoyed it. Dave's voice sounds good. when it's shot/scratchy, this song can be unbearable. crazy good jam. now i'm in the mood for some spicy Popeye's.

Ants Marching - fuck yea Ants! perfect closer as always. this is no exception.

wow, what a pleasant surprise. 2007 is never a year i go looking to listen to. this show changes that. great pick. i'd say in the overall ranking of Live Trax releases, this ranks somewhere around 15-20ish (out of 38 full-band shows). the great sound plays a part in that.

    that's just me though... YMMV.

Still waiting on a response from musictoday, but I believe I have figured it out on my own.

I used paypay this time. Never have done that before. I think doing that somehow linked the purchase to my email address I use for paypal instead of my actual account. If I log out of the warehouse store, log in to the warehouse fan site, open up the warehouse store without logging in, and copy and paste my download link in a browser, I get to a screen that has the download link (without being logged in).

Odd! I haven't downloaded yet because I'm at work. I will try it tonight.

    What a cluster.

Based on general principles, he's bought it once already, Musictoday needs to put an effort in to satisfy him, the paying customer.

Through Jane and this mix is real nice. Really punchy bass like my other favorite LT's. Actually loved that little I Dream of Jeannie interpolation in Loving Wings.

In the past I've mistakenly purchased through dmband.com and not Warehouse, and then couldn't find the downloads on my Warehouse account...
And using a Mac and Download Manager was always very hit and miss, and I'd have to use either Chrome or Firefox...
Since they've added the .zip option, it's has worked every single time for me.
What I always do is: login my warehouse account, then Store, then login Warehouse store account. Back to email received with Download link, click it, and it takes me directly to the Download manager / Zip file options.
If I don't login to my Warehouse/Store accounts before clicking the link in the email, then it doesn't work...

I did that and it worked. I logged into my account and went to downloads and it still said "Not Available". So I opened the link in the email and it started downloading (used the Zip option again). That's so weird. Oh well, it worked!

This If I Had It All is definitely my go-to version now.

However - it's also If I Had It All. So I never really go to it.

IIHIA was the first track I listened to on this release and it sounds absolutely beautiful! I have a long drive for work tomorrow so I'll give the full release a listen then.

For people who have received/downloaded their copy of LT42, have listened to it, AND have Warehouse 8 Vol. 7: this ADSR with Butch blows the Warehouse CD released Butch-less ADSR out of the water, correct?

Roi truly makes the song in the intro. He's the reason I'll come back to this version again and again.

For sure. I was never a fan of that 2008 ADSR. The song needs Butch, and Dave's solo on LT 42 is a perfect compliment to it.

I just have to say for all the hate '07 DMB is getting, this release is so fucking beautifully mixed that I think I like the actual performances all the more for it (if that makes sense).

Same thing happened with Dreaming Tree 7/30/2003 for me: it was my absolute favorite version when I listened to it on the Central Park bonus CD, but when I heard the LT 26 release of it, I couldn't even figure out what I liked about it.

Point is, the mix is amazing, BUTCH SOUNDS GREAT on the release, Dave's voice is great (better than Piedmont Park IMO) and the performances ARE amazing.

And what RSSR said, this ADSR is fucking brilliant (my favorite is still 11/13/2007 though)

This is a great release. Was on the fence with this one (thinking I could get the 25 anniversary CD for rare songs, but not looking like it more and more) so I bit the bullet and got it. It's a great change of pace . Everyone shines. Not the same type of same old stuff everyone's used to. ADSR is beautiful. This is the very last of the last dmb sound, how they should sound before 08. Glad I got it

I agree 100%. I'm surprised by how much I enjoy it. It's 2007, and not even the right 2007 show (10/2 or 8/8 would have been the choice in my book), but this show and the mix are just beautiful.

I got the mp3. It sounds pretty great. It's amazing how, even though 2007 wasn't a hot tour, hearing it for the first time in years makes it sound fresh.

It's the lack of Tim, lack of Big Whiskey/AFTW/those horrid 2015-2016 songs; and the presence of Butch. The setlist doesn't have the songs Butch beat into submission (Jimi Thing, Bartender, Two Step), and has songs he really shined on (ADSR, Crush, Grey St, even Shotgun).

I'm really liking LT 42. This will be my go-to release for a little while, I think.

The weird thing is, I really enjoyed Butch, including his long solos on Bartender and Two Step. But that's because I'm a pianist and I enjoy stuff like that. I loved his piano playing. His keyboard work was good but I wasn't a huge fan of it on Jimi as much. That song is just too long in general with any lineup.
