Yeah cecchini is blocked at 3rd by panda, in left by Hanley, and Travis Shaw is the Pawtucket 1st basemen who has some upside, so I can see him going in a trade. Despite lackluster numbers in AAA last year, especially in the power department, I still think he has the chance to be a pretty good hitter. I'd hate to see him go, but he's not a deal breaker for me.

So sick of deflated balls, good to get an injection of Red Sox talk. But signing Dana Eveland to a minor league contract isnt terribly exciting either.
I'd like to go to spring training but I'll probably be working.

Ranaudo traded for lhp Robbie Ross.
Can't imagine the HR-prone ranaudo will fare well in Arlington. He needs to learn to keep the ball down more if he's going to have success anywhere.

Meh, the way I see it, if Robbie Ross becomes a solid, steady option out of the bullpen for the next few years, it'll be worth it.
Ranaudo more than likely would have been part of the bullpen himself, and not starting for the sox. With the way the roster is currently constructed, ranaudo was pretty low on the depth chart given the amount of options for 5th starters in AAA.

Yoan Moncada is free to sign. I want the sox to break the bank for this guy. Yankees, Dodgers and Red Sox are the front runners. Cubs and rangers out of the running.
