Some intriguing matches today in the UCL, none more so then PSG v Barca. Loser goes second in the group, likely to get a tough round of 16 draw. Will also say if Barca gets the win, then all 3 La Liga teams will win their group. That says a lot for those teams and La Liga.

Have to say, I'm surprised City got through. That's a massive win for them. First time ever in the Champions League knock out rounds? Also glad to have them continue on in that competition since Chelsea will be as well.

Ugh, Liverpool. This season has been so so bad. The plus side is, we booked our honeymoon the other day... 8 nights in London. Going to spend a couple days up in Liverpool and do the Anfield tour. Also we will be in London during the Arsenal Liverpool match at Emirates. Going to try and get tickets but I'm not really holding my breath for that one.

Sounds like a great trip Seth. Hope you can swing the tickets at the Emirates.

They made it last year as well but were knocked out by Barcelona. Winning in Rome without aguero yaya and kompany was impressive and a joy to watch.

Great goal by Rooney after Valencia went through the wickets on the defender, then an offside(?) goal by Mata to go up 2-0 at the half.

They play twice so each team gets a home game. Take the aggregate score.

just assuming, but I think the question may have been more about how is it determined who gets the 1st leg at home as opposed to the 2nd leg. The 2nd leg at home would seem to be advantage as you know what has to be done on your home pitch.

my noobness is showing again. Thanks.

I didn't know the knockout stage was played with two legs and the aggregate taken.

The group winners get the "advantage" of playing the 2nd leg at home.

Chelsea v PSG (again). No problem. I'll be happy to see Sideshow Bob again.

Feeling pretty confident there Chad. I am sure PSG would nothing more then a good run at Chelsea after coming so close last year. I am sure the Demab Ba goal still keep some fans up at night.

Not too impressed with PSG this year. Ibrahimovic is the X-factor. Gotta keep him quiet. Otherwise, with our improved squad, I do feel rather confident.

City and Barca will be a great two-legged affair.

Hell of a game between Liverpool and Arsenal. Skrtel was pretty BA running around looking like he just got back from Dunkirk. Apparently he needed staples in his head after the game.
