I was at the Sox game last Sunday when it was possible that their season would be over with a playoff berth on the line. The couldn´t even fill the stadium. Thats just pathetic. Maybe if they win again they can pull some new ¨fans¨ so they pretend they´ve been fans all along. Pathetic South Siders.

The White Sox weren't the best team in 2005, but anyone could have won a ring with that team. The starting pitching got insanely hot. They just dominated that post season going very deep into games. You can't really point to anything that happened in that post season and say "Ya that has Ozzie written all over it."

And I love how Ozzie said he'd retire after they won the World Series, which tells you he never expected them too. Then they won it, and he totally back tracked.

they were talking about it on the radio. i guess during warm-ups before the 1st, longoria threw the ball back to him and it hit him in the throat or something like that. they didn't know if that was the exact reason, but it was the only thing they could come up with.

Even though you like Ozzie, you seem like an actuals Sox fan . I'll respect you for that, because I hate when I get into arguments with "White Sox fans". They basically tell me Cubs suck, this and that. Then I find out I know more about their team then they do.

See, I think there are more fake Cubs fans - the kind that love the atmosphere of a Cubs game, but couldnt tell you who scored or when, but can tell me which goof sang the seventh inning stretch . Ill root for the Cub for as long as the Sox are in, then after that I have to go against them - why should my Cubs fans friends get to celebrate when I cant?!?! But for as long as they are both in, Id love to see them play for the crown!

He went on a breaking pitch, and was out by a mile. It just looked horrible. Like the catcher threw it to 2B, and the second basemen had to wait on AJ to get there so he could tag him. No slide or anything, just a jog.

good choice.... you dont want to cross paths with ozzie!

Clayton Richard strikes out the side.... nice - I think its time for him to start getting the starts in these playoffs rather than Vazquez

at Cabrera. After all the smack talk he said about the White Sox. He himself had a chance to do a lot of damage. Then he strikes out swinging.

    Here ya go
    Quote:
In his first season on the South Side -- and certainly the last for the free agent -- Cabrera had to meet with Guillen in his office in May after teammates were miffed that he had called up to the press box during games to have errors overturned, including one that would have been charged to a teammate.

But that was child's play compared with his appearance on ''Boers and Bernstein,'' where he insisted, ''There are guys that want to be clowns or want to be funny or want to be this, but what I don't like is there is a time for that and a time to get serious in a ballgame, and I don't see that.''

Asked how the 2008 Sox compare with some of the other teams Cabrera has played on, he replied: ''The one thing we're missing, a team that wins so many ballgames is missing, is we don't come out every night as the winners. We come out hoping to win a ballgame. I don't think that's the right attitude.

''This is a team that has so many stars and so many good players. The other team should be afraid of facing us. We should show that face every night and win ballgames before they even start at 7 o'clock.''

After Cabrera already said this year that the Angels' Mike Scioscia was head-and-shoulders smarter than every other manager in baseball, how could Guillen not take his latest comments as another slap in the face?

    Re: Chicago White Sox

Oh and this was during that Twins series the other weekend where the White Sox got swept

    Quote:
As for that winning attitude, listen to the interesting exchange between Sox shortstop Orlando Cabrera and Twins first baseman Justin Morneau in the seventh inning.

''He looked at me, and I said, 'We just don't quit, do we?' '' Morneau recalled. ''And he said, 'No, but that's the way you're supposed to play.'

''It's the only way we know how. We're going to give you nine tough innings no matter what. You can never count a team out that has heart like we do. If you look at us on paper -- they do things we can't do, but you can never account for what's inside.''

According to Morneau, Cabrera smiled in agreement. Imagine that, Cabrera seems a bigger fan of the Twins than the Sox. Cabrera said he didn't recall the exchange and walked away from reporters.
I don't know if he's telling the truth or not (about his teammates not Morneau), but the thing about calling up to the press box makes him appear to be a giant douche.

When was the Boers and Bernstein interview? I knew he was in bad standings with the team early in the year, but was just saying to my friend the other day after Ramirez hit that grand slam it looked like Cabrera was really excited and celebrated a great deal with the team
