At the beginning of the series, Jesse was the bad, trouble making, lowlife wannabe gangbanger, and Walt was the good guy who got into a bad business for a "good reason". However, as the series has progressed, we've seen them grow and face obstacles that have tried their moral centers, transforming Jesse into a good guy, and (often) Walt into a sinister and morally corrupted bad guy.
I know that VG is so very unpredictable and manages to justify the means of every twist he throws at us, I just can't see Jesse dying. The show won't end in total tragedy IMO, but one of the protagonists needs to die, and I think it has to be Walt. Like I said in an earlier post, I think that the glimpse into the future with the haggard Walt celebrating his birthday in Denny's and buying an M60 suggests that he's lost everything and is at the end of his rope. However, we've seen Jesse's heart through his loyalty to friends, his relationships with Brock and his little brother, his longing to be accepted by his family, etc. etc. Unlike Walt, there's still hope for Jesse, and I think that he'll come out the hero in the end.
and that's all I have to say about that.
