The point was that he never had talent surrounding him like he does now. Yeah, he had Jason Kidd, but his center was Jason Collins. And Bosh wasn't Bosh and McGrady weren't the players they were when they played together.

For anyone that was wondering, today on SportsNation they shot the book with a .357 Magnum (?). It stopped the bullet at around page 620.

I remember listening to the podcast he was one and thinking that he was not funny or entertaining at all. And I'm from Ohio, so I knew most of what he was talking about too.

Some of his stuff is funny, some really isn't. The letter that was written to him (and posted for fan appreciation week) was hilarious.

When did he ever say Durant is better? I know he said he might have more success in his career but I've never heard him say Lebron is better.

Love all the Vince critics, he's really pissed people off apparently.

I'm assuming you're referring to his interview on PTI, and he never said that.

He just said Durant has a chance to have a more successful overall career. Which I think could be very accurate.

I secretly hope LeBron heads to OKC and they team up for the next decade.

Exactly. I love how he clearly stated that when he was on air and somehow it still gets misconstrued into him saying that Durant is better than Lebron.

He mentioned that possibility too, OKC would have the cap space I think, probably too small a market for Lebron though. But that would be a scary, scary team for a lot of years.

I think all he was saying is the Thunder are more likely to win multiple titles with Durant and the other young guys they have compared to LeBron and whatever the Cavs manage to cobble together around LeBron assuming he stays there. I agree 100%.

I'm not saying Durant will have a better career, I was just clarifying Simmons' point.

Will Durant ever have the similir stats? Scoring will be clsoe, LeBron is a better rebounder, and there is no way Durant will get assists like LeBron. But, Durant hasn't had any team success, and LeBron has - also, how do we know that Durant plays his career in OKC?

This is why many of my Laker fan friends are despised. While I agree Magic was a better player, Larry Bird was incredible, and every Laker fans who remembers the 80s, has to respect the guy.
