Wow, that's really a bummer. Greedy Stern probably threatened to sue him because the cheap bastard wasn't making any money.

By the way, I met Artie the other day. Took a picture with him and chatted for 5 minutes about Stern and the podcast. Will give a full update later and post the picture.

Completely forgot about this thread haha. I pretty much never listen to Stern anymore. Artie was really cool. I was at a Seton Hall game and I have an all access pass. I happened to be walking up the stairs early in the game, and Artie was just sitting in a normal lower level seat with 3 of his buddies, watching the game. I told him I was a big fan and I was enjoying the podcast. Asked him for a picture, he said yes.

I then went up to the VIP lounge where Artie made is way up there alone. So I got to chat with him for a few minutes about the podcast, the Stern Show, and stand up. He said he's loving the podcast. He said he really missed the Stern show but this gives him an opportunity to communicate. Said he still loves the Stern guys. I told him that I don't listen as much anymore because the show has really changed. He said it was madness back in the day but now it's more A level guests. He told me don't worry I can get the madness from his podcast haha.

Robert Downey Jr. should be on next week, prolly Monday or Tuesday and I am looking forward to his walking off the interview story that's making the rounds. Probably won't be much to it, but still.

Subscribed to Legion Of Skanks and the "you know what dude" podcast instead because Bob Kelly and Dan Soder. I heard Arties podcast is really struggling but he was great the couple times he was on Opie radio, him and Norton bounced off each other really well.

Why do you think that? He has only been on twice and they never really bring him up.

It's been rumored for months, and it feels like something that is going to happen. Mostly a gut thing, but I do feel it will happen.

yea I've been forgetting to come in here and ask for a long time now... cause since they completely stopped with Howard TV so long ago (which still kind of astounds me by itself, what with how many semi-show regulars that then totally cut from the team), that was my pipeline so I really haven't kept up with the show at all for quite awhile. But so then when I saw whatever video footage it was a couple months back of Howard's new look, that haircut... wow. Anyone else think it makes him look like he's back in 1984 or something? He had the old style for so long, and honestly I thought it looked still pretty damn good on him. I mean I genuinely can't even fathom what he'd look like at this point with a 'traditional' short hair style. But this one just looks odd.

Howard's oldest daughter, Emily... damn... reading that thing, am I crazy or does this not exactly paint him in the greatest light? I mean not keeping up with the show on even a weekly basis anymore, much less daily (since them losing the TV side of it), I'm not sure if he would've already talked about anything to do with this or not, but that sounds like far from the most loving, healthy relationship with a father (and his much younger 2nd wife, for that matter).

They have to have something in place because Howard isn't doing his usual "contract year" shtick. I still listen daily and there has been zero talk about the contract.

I guess we'll find out in a month.
