Yup... that's the problem. Freshness. My in-laws go back and forth to Ohio and I've had them bring back some for me... never fresh. If you can score some that's less than a month old - would GLAAAAADLY take it. But I'm assuming that's like finding a unicorn!

do they release too much into distribution and beer stores just overstock so it sits on the shelf for a while? all I've ever heard was it's tough to get their beer fresh

Yeah, it's kind of the same thing with stoneface... great beer but can never find it super fresh.

I think for a lot of people it's a sentiment thing. I know for me I started drinking craft beer in like 1999 or 2000 regularly and Two Hearted was the gateway beer to it all. I still very much appreciate it for what it is. It's a classic American IPA featuring centennial hops. It's very well balanced in a traditional IPA way.

Yeah, those top 4 are all so good. Big drop off after those IMO. Though the rest are all still great and I enjoy most of them.

Last week the freshest Two Hearted I could find was Early May. Checked Kroger grocery and nearby liquor store. It's probably the beer I buy most often, even though I've had better IPAs. Very easy to find and I know I'm going to enjoy it.

And I enjoy Celebration a lot, too. That's usually out around November, if I recall?

After all the talk about fresh Two Hearted, I checked by local shop last night, as they have it pretty much all the time. The date on the bottles currently in stock was also 5/26. Not sure if that was the last distribution date, just curious that two area pretty far apart had similar dates.

Messaged my guy at the local bottle shop around noon, said they have 7 bombers left. Holding out hope they'll have at least one left by the time I stop there in a few hours but I'm not overly optimistic. He usually stashes stuff for me in the back though so we'll see.

I'm assuming no cans since he only mentioned the bombers. That's ok, I can easily put a bomber back tonight at dinner .

Ive enjoyed everything I have had from Monkish. Other Half is till my favorite I think. I'll choose them over tree house any day, mainly because tree house ipas are all starting to taste the same to me. Still like trillium a lot though too.
