I'd just like to mention that Jerry Tipton, the guy that account is parodying/referencing, is a UK basketball beat writer and a fucking hack piece of shit. No UK fans like him because of his bizarre privacy breaching past and the fact that he obviously doesn't like UK/Cal. Yet he is the main UK basketball writer for the lexington newspaper. Cal has kicked him out of several press conferences and usually just ignores his questions or gives him a sarcastic answer.

I guess he gets hits/responses because of how much we all hate him so they keep him on (no press is bad press) but its very frustrating reading his bullshit in the paper every day wondering why we have an anti-UK writer in our hometown newspaper.

UNC's offense has been incredibly efficient since going small. It would be the sixth best in the nation if they had been that efficient all year.

But will going small be as effective with plumlee down low and Kelley back? I'm not saying UNC has no chance and obviously ill be rooting for them but duke seems to be hitting their stride now, unless Kelly's performance the other night was a fluke.

Of course, it took 36 points from Kelly for duke to barely squeak out with a win at home vs Miami so anythings possible

On an unrelated note, I'm watching this lakers/thunder game, and the lakers have relatively the worst defense of any team I've seen. Just pathetic

I love the NBA playoffs too but regular season games are just brutal. How do people watch this slow, "I don't give a shit if we win and I'm not playing defense" stuff? It's abysmal as someone in their mid 20's that grew up watching the glory days of the NBA. The talent is just as good as ever, but the effort is undeniably lacking. They just don't care and dont even care enough to pretend like they do.

Hairston and Bullock are better suited to guard Kelly than any of UNC's bigs. They also board better than Kelly and Suliamon. The switch to small ball helps UNC against Duke. It hurts them against teams like Miami.

The defense in the NBA - even in an NBA game that is 'meaningless' - is vastly superior to defense in college; it's just that in college, teams can't take advantage of shitty defense.

Crean's always been a little over the top, and that's just the most recent example. Whatever, it's pretty pathetic and embarrassing IMO, but harmless and not really a big deal.

The more important issue is his team has been playing like assholes for two weeks now. Maybe he should have used that hour of "celebrating?" to reflect on this.

Kelly's only obstacle (aside from obviously not getting hurt) is conditioning. He looked gassed last night. Wouldn't be surprised to see Duke lose Saturday, but I'm expecting a win. Having zero losses with Kelly in the lineup isn't a coincidence.
