Testing the waters and getting free, professional feedback is obviously a good idea for anyone who thinks they are a year or two out. But lotta dumb kids gonna listen to dumb advice from those 'friends ' and family around them looking to cash in. Lots going to end up th d league or china/Europe. I imagine staying in college or playing in Europe would be better than playing in Asia or d league.

College system is a racket but I don't think it's as bad for the athletes as people make it out to be. For many athletes who won't play professionally or play non-revenue sports it's a great deal.

Socialism is imposed by force. Noone is forcing anyone to play college athletics. The elite athletes choose to play in college because it's their best route currently to preparing for playing professionally. Noone is stopping elite basketball players from going overseas, playing in the D-League, etc.

Obviously nothing final until it's announced, but that's a huge get if it happens.

I still can't imagine him leaving with the way his draft prospects currently look. He's not listed in either round on any of the mocks I've seen.

I think some team would absolutely draft him. At this point, I don't think a guarantee to be drafted even matters anymore. Kids are desperate to get out of college.

Could be. If the rumors of the Duval signing is legit, I'm definitely more inclined to believe Frank will stay in the draft, but it would be a little bit surprising.

I could maybe see Utah reaching on him with their first-round pick or sometime in the second round, but he'll need to show out in the combine, in my opinion. He really didn't display any of the things NBA scouts are looking for in a point guard while at Duke.

Surprisingly, Nike, Adidas and UA have all passed on a deal with Lonzo. Really thought $1,000,000,000 was a fair deal.

Arizona just announced the dates for their home and home with UConn for 17/18. Love the home and home set up and love playing another big name, but I just wish we would actually schedule someone good. Of course last year they played Missouri when they were a dumpster fire, wish it was this year. Has any other team fallen off as much as UConn. Kevin Ollie might be the worst coach to ever win a title. At least zona plays unlv again, who should be pretty good after picking up Brandon McCoy as well as the top junior college player in the country. Miss the Olson days when he tried to schedule big time non-conference games. Anyone, anywhere used to be the scheduling strategy. Now its just a mediocre in season tourney, a couple mid level west coast teams and one or two bottom barrel p5 schools. Wish Arizona would play some blue bloods in a home and home. Maybe the Millers can schedule something.

Not sure if this was ever discussed on this thread, but I highly highly recommend the documentary "Disgraced" about the Baylor basketball scandal - it is currently airing on Showtime. Not sure what is in the water in Waco, but Dave Bliss and Art Briles are almost the same person, although Dave Bliss is worse. Not sure how Bliss became so successful, since he is such a bad liar. The documentary did a great job of explaining the facts, however there is still so much that we'll never now about.

I'll check it out, sounds interesting, that whole story with bliss and what happened to the basketball team is just so crazy. Briles might be a bad hombre but what bliss did is beyond comprehension.

The Knox decision is odd with Vanderbilt and Washington already signed, but also a good reminder never to count Cal out with Top 10 players.
